Excerpt from Stanton Adore:

"So Josh, tell me about your life?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "What do you want to know?"
"I hear you're wealthy."
He smiles, "In some things."
I tilt my head on the side, "What do you mean?"
"Well, I have money. It depends on your definition of wealthy."
"Oh, I suppose. What's your definition?" I ask, surprised.
He shrugs again. "Happily married, healthy kids."
Smiling, I rest my chin on one hand while I find myself swooning at his feet. "Are you dating?" I ask.
He scrunches up his nose, "Hell no." Our drinks arrive and the waitress's eyes linger a little long on Mr Orgasmic here. I narrow my eyes at her. OK, enough, buzz off.
"You," I frown.
"Huh."
"Are you dating?" I ask.
"No, nothing like that. Mum told me you had a boyfriend."
"I nod a little embarrassed. "Um ex-boyfriend," I murmur,
"What happened? Why did you break up?"
I shrug. He smiles, "I see you're still a shit liar."
"I hoped you hadn't heard about that," I wince.
"What? Heard that some poor bastard asked you to marry him and you knocked him back and then dumped his sorry ass?"
I put my hands over my face in embarrassment. "It sounds so cold when you put it like that." I peek out from my hands to see him smirking at me.
"What happened?"
"We were never going to work out. I have never been so shocked in my life as the day he proposed. It was awful." His thumb is under his chin and he is wiping the side of his pointer across his lips s he listens while leaning back in his chair, his gaze locked onto mine.
"Why wouldn't you have worked out?"
"We weren't....compatible."
He raises his eyebrows. "Compatible," he repeats. Why did I say that? "You mean sexually?" His eyes darken with an emotion I'm familiar with. Arousal.
"among other things," I quickly add. I suddenly feel very uncomfortable. "why aren't you married?" I blurt out.
He smiles a slow sexy smile. "I haven't found anyone who fits the job description."
"What's the job description?" I breathe. His eyes bore into mine with an intensity that heats my blood.
"Someone who fucks like a slut, with the morals of a nun." I choke on my tea. Of all the things I thought he would say, that was definitely not it. I feel a familiar frisson of uneasiness creeping up on me.
"You can't be serious?" I gasp.
"Absolutely," he nods as he takes a sip of his latte, his eyes not leaving mine.
"You want to marry a slut?"
He nods again. "It depends what your definition of a slut is. What do you think a slut is? he asks.
"someone who will sleep with anyone," I reply.
He nods and takes another sip of his latte. "You see I think a slut is a woman who loves to fuck." I swallow the large lump in my throat. His voice has dropped to a low husky sound, one that is screaming to my subconscious. He continues, "I couldn't be with mousy woman who doesn't love to fuck as much as I do. I have an insatiable appetite for sex," he licks his lips. "High maintenance so to speak." His eyes burn in to me once again, silently daring me to say something. His eyes drop to my lips. Want pools in my stomach. "The woman I marry will have to endure hours and hours of being tied up to our bed, legs spread wide while I pleasure her with my tongue and fuck her with my hands and then put up with me continually driving into her tight cunt with my cock so hard she won't know where I end and she begins. Only to be rolled over and taken again from behind. Constantly. She would have to love taking me orally and vaginally and anally...Repeatedly." He gazes at me again and steeples his hands under his chin. For the love of god, my mouth has gone dry.
"Can I take your order, love?" I jump, oh shit did she just hear that?
"Um, bacon and eggs please, and an orange juice." I am embarrassed and put my head down to hide my blush.
"I'll have the same." He smirks a sexy smile at me. Bloody hell. Ok my brain has fried. I can't even speak as I visualize exactly what he has explained to me. Orally, vaginally and anally, shit. To me that sounds like the exact thing I might like to do today. Is he trying to drive me out of my frigging head? He's not playing fair.
"So, precious." My eyes snap up at the nickname he used to call me. "Do you know anyone that you could put up for an interview?" I scowl at him. He's playing with me, the bastard. He knows exactly what he's doing.
"Yes, I do actually," I reply. Actually, no I don't. Only me. I would rather cut off my left arm than put someone else up for that position. I scan my empty head for a witty comeback. Nope nothing, another 2 am regret coming up.
"Are you purposely trying to turn me on?" I whisper.
"Is that what I'm doing?" His gaze bores into me, burning holes with it's heat.
"Yes," I whisper. "You know you are."

Book Recommendation & Review of Timberman Werebear (Saw Bears #3) by T.S. Joyce

Danielle Clayton is back in her old stomping grounds after years of avoiding the man she had to leave behind. She’s determined to make Saratoga her home again, but when she sets eyes on her snarly, sexy ex, it’s clear her feelings for him haven’t cooled at all in the years she’s been away. He kept too many secrets the first time around, but Denison has changed. Maybe this time he’ll open up and allow her into his life.

Country crooner, tatted-up bad boy and grizzly bear shifter, Denison Beck, has been burned by love. He chose a human mate at the tender age of twenty-one, but she left him high and dry with no explanation why. After four years of nursing a vow to never let a woman get close to him again, his ex blows into town and stirs up emotions he hasn’t felt in a long time. When forces beyond their control thrust them together, he’ll have to decide whether to trust her with his heart again or let her go. But if Danielle finds out what is really lurking in his past, it could put her life in danger, as well as that of his crew of lumberjack werebears.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
The third book in T.S. Joyce's Saw Bears series is Timberman Werebear and you know this chick did the one click and added it the day it was released!  Let me tell y'all these fun loving werebears' adventures continue to keep me enthralled and excitedly waiting for the next book.

Denison "Denny" Beck and his twin brother Brighton share a sordid past.  He is the easy going sexy twin while his brother never speaks and remains in the shadows.   They both share a love of music and are loyal to their pack.  Denny's heart was broken by the love of his life when she left without saying good bye.  He never got over her and his bear pined after her for years.

Danielle Clayton left and never looked back when her relationship with Denny turned bad.  She didn't wait to hear his side of the story because she never could understand why someone as handsome and perfect as Denny would want to have something to do with a bookworm like her.  What could she offer him?

When Dani decides to return to Saratoga because of a job, she isn't ready to face the music or Denny for that fact. She once again leaves him hanging without waiting.   When circumstances change and she needs his help as a guide for her work, she is forced to let bygones be bygones.  But, she doesn't realize what the future will reveal and the secrets that Denny had kept from her!

T.S. Joyce is a remarkable and truly entertaining writer.  Her alpha werebear shifters are perfect for a relaxing enjoyable evening!  The combination of funny-strong male personalities and nurturing-steel-backboned females is a delight and welcomed addition to my library.  I look forward to the next book.  Can't wait to see what she has in store for Brighton.

Cover Artist: 3 Rusted Spoons

Synopsis:
Her prison became his hell.
The only thing standing between Beverly Price and a prison cell is her well connected attorney, Jackson McNabb.  Jackson pulls some legal strings, getting Beverly sent to his family’s plantation to work out her sentence at an isolated setting- the perfect place for sexual escapades. When Jack and Beverly act on the pent-up lust burning between them, their passion rouses an angry and restless spirit, setting off a series of frightening paranormal events and sending Beverly fleeing the arms of her lover, leaving Jack to fight for both of their lives.

Excerpt:

He pinned her back up against the wall, anger blazing in his eyes. The corner of his lip curled and his forehead wrinkled. “The spoiled little rich girl wants attention by trashing her room.” He yanked down his zipper. “Well, now she’s got it.”
Jack was up in her face when Beverly’s hands slapped against the sheet rock, seeking purchase as he kneed open her legs. Her feet left the floor and she braced her legs around his waist when he forced his thighs underneath hers. He slammed his cock in her slit, the force making her pussy burn and spasm from the delectable shock.
The muscles in Jack’s arms corded as he reached around and spread her ass cheeks as wide as they would go. Beverly’s eyes nearly rolled to the back of her head with the chafing of his jeans against her, and his denim covered skin on hers fired new pleasure receptors to life. She never considered that area an erogenous zone.
Beverly had never considered a lot of things until Jack introduced them.
Her eyes jarred in their sockets and her spine jolted with the furious pounding of her body against his thighs. The dry friction rubbing against her clit and Jack’s heated breath was a cocktail strong enough to push her across the finish line. His sun browned skin was reddening, pulling taut over his cheekbones. Beverly wondered if she looked as crazy as he did. She laid her head against her shoulders and dug her fingernails into his shoulders, as he wrecked her in the way she always wanted.

About The Author

Mother of Two Boys...
My husband and I have been married for 17 years and are blessed with two amazing young men. They are 10 and 12 right now, and both are on very different parts of the autism spectrum. I’ve learned so much being their mom and I feel pretty lucky to have become part of a community of loving, understanding people.
If you’d like to meet my oldest son, watch Big Bang Theory and shake hands with Sheldon. Those two are so similar, straight down to the fake laugh when they recognize something is funny.

My youngest cannot be explained. He’s more of an experience, and a joyful one at that.
Romance Novelist...
I’ve always loved to write. I’ve written for newspapers and magazines, also a host of personal projects. Then in December of 2012 I was reading on my first Kindle, gobbling up romances left and right. That’s when I fell in love with Ethan Blackstone, by the way.

I was inspired to sit down and write. Less than one year later I’ve published three books, written another and its sequel novella, and started on two more. Another series popped into my head, as well. Now as of August of 2014, I’m on the verge of publishing book six, with at least five started or specifically planned. Since I’m sure I won’t update this bio for a long time, you’ll have to rely on my Facebook updates to know what’s going on with Kemmie Michaels romances. Book Highlight: Saving Dancer (Savage Brothers MC, #2) by Jordan Marie

Carrie

I’ve been in love with Jacob Blake since he picked me up in his strong arms. He held me close and promised me everything would be okay. I knew then, I had met the man who would own my heart forever.

I was five years old.

As the years went by, the need and longing for Jacob only increased—at least on my side. Jacob has never seen me as more than his kid sister’s best friend.

I’ve spent my life chasing after Jacob and trying to make him see I’m more than just his sister’s little friend. I never dreamed that by trying to show Jacob how much I loved him, I would also destroy him.

One night...one night that held so much promise, but ultimately destroyed the man I love and broke him in so many pieces, that I don’t know if he can be mended back together.

Jacob “Dancer” Blake

I’m finally home. Out of the hell hole I had been trapped in since killing another man. With the thrust of my knife everything changed.

That night I ended two lives, the scum who had been trying to rape my little sister’s friend... and my own. The other man got the easier out. I live and breathe in a hell I’ll never escape.

My brothers look at me with pity in their eyes. It cuts my insides out.

There’s trouble in the club, trouble all around us and I have to get my head straight. I have to be able to help them. Trouble is, I can’t even help myself. I just keep piling the mistakes up.

Carrie just might be my biggest mistake yet.

Now it’s another night that’s haunting me--a night that I keep repeating even if I shouldn’t.

I’m so trapped in the darkness that I can’t stop myself from going back because she is light.

She wants to save me. You can’t save something as lost as I am.

I’m going to destroy her.

I’ve warned her. Now I’ll show her.

Overall Rating:  5 Rockin’ ★★★★
Anger, pain, sadness and despair are prevalent in Jordan Marie's newest release, Saving Dancer.  This is the second book in the Savage MC series and the continuation of the storyline from book one.   This continuance adds a new flavor to the intriguing chemistry among the tight knit brothers from Kentucky and their motorcycle club lifestyle.

In her debut novel, Breaking Dragon the author introduced us to Nicole and Dragon with glimpses of Carrie and Dancer.  Dancer was the brother that was incarcerated in a federal prison for protecting Carrie from a brutal attack outside a club.  We anticipated from the beginning that their journey would be a battle to find each other as well as a thoroughly intriguing and entertaining read.  This is Jacob and Carrie's story about finding their way to each other and the love they both needed. Warning: this is a heart wrenching and soul searching relationship.  The author approaches a very sensitive subject in this book. The setting that she uses to deliver her message is brilliant.

After the betrayal of Irish, Dragon and his brothers are struggling to make things right and strengthen trust among the brothers once again. Dancer doesn't want anything to do with them now. He wants to remain in his own world suffering alone, without anyone finding out the horrors that were inflicted on him.   His brothers, however, are not going to allow that to happen. They are determined to pull Dancer back into the club and help him heal.

Jacob a.k.a. Dancer is finally free from his torturous two year trip to hell. He is suffering from the horrific things that were done to him in prison. Carrie is brought under the protection of the Savage MC when an unknown threat tries to end her life and does take the life of her parents.  Jacob blames Carrie for his imprisonment and all the wrongs that he was dealt while in prison. This leads to him lashing out at her every opportunity he gets. In his heart he knows she is his only salvation but the anger, shame and fear drives him to keep her as far away from him and his life as possible.  Carrie loves Jacob with every fiber of her being and has from the moment as a child she laid eyes on him.  She has waited for him to claim her and has never stopped loving him.

Our heroine is strong, yet pliable, while young in years, she has an old heart and a mature mind.  When Carrie makes up her mind, there is no turning back or swaying her.  While our hero has suffered two tortuous years, his background suggests that he has always been filled with anger and had a short fuse when confronted. He is a sexy, mouthwatering, strong alpha male with protective tendencies.

Without a doubt, Jordan Marie's creativity brought Jacob and Carrie's story to life.  The depth of their love and search for happiness is threaded throughout the entire book.  While at the same time the characters continue to grow and develop.  More players are introduced as the plot evolves. I can't wait to see where this series will go in her next book.

Book Recommendation and Review of Thoughtful (Thoughtless #1.5) by S.C. Stephens

A new novel in the Thoughtless series from #1 New York Times bestselling author S. C. Stephens!

Every story has two sides, and in this new book, the epic love story between Kiera and Kellan is shown through his eyes.

All Kellan Kyle needs is his guitar, and some clean sheets of paper. Growing up in a house that was far from a home, he learned a hard lesson: You're worthless. Now his life is comfortably filled with passionate music, loyal band mates, and fast women...until he meets her.

Kiera makes him ache for more. Makes him feel for the first time that he's worth more. But there's one problem - she's his best friend's girl.

Just when Kellan thought his emotional defenses were rock solid, Kiera's indecisive heart wreaks havoc on his soul, changing him forever. Losing Kiera is not an option.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

S.C. Stephens newest book, Thoughtful, is Kellan's POV of his and Kiera's love story.  This is a well thought out and intense look at how Kellan feels about the progression of the on again off again love triangle between Kellan, Kiera and Denny.  The characters are well thought out and beautifully created with details that will leave the reader breathless and aching for Kellan, as well as the other characters involved.

Kellan is multi-dimensional.  He was abused as a child, never been loved and searching for anything that will give him the ability to feel something that resembles love.  Never having it, when his best friend Denny moves into his home with his girlfriend, things change for Kellan in a most unexpected way.  Kellan is entranced by the love that the two share, but at the same time begins to long for what they have.  Then in a drunken stupor, he lets his guard down and sleeps with Kiera who has captured his heart in a subtle yet very complicated way.  Everything changes for Kellan, yet Kiera can't make up her mind which man to choose.

With an endless love affair, it finally comes to an unavoidable end, and the truth finally comes out.  In one heart stomping moment, things come to light for the cheating couple as well as Denny.  Everyone is hurt and love seems lost.  However, when all is settled, love finds a way.  Kellan loves passionately and Kiera finally loves without inhibitions.  This POV will rock you to the core!  I was captured by his longing and need to be loved.  This was a wonderful look at how love can conquer all, no matter the circumstances.  Thank you S.C. for giving us Kellan's side of the story!

Would I recommend this book:  Yes!  This is a great insight into how "he" feels with an intense underlying sense of love, passion and unrelenting need.

Would I read other books by this author:  Yes!  This author has an interesting style of writing.  The way she creates her stories is both, touching and beautiful.  I enjoy her sense of what her characters POV is and also the way she is able to communicate that in her books.

Blurb
My name is Maya, and I'm not the same girl I was a month ago.

There is an emptiness I carry around in my chest now. A broken heart caused by grief.
There are also dark nights where I have trouble breathing as I feel the heavy weight of loss rushing through my veins, painful moments where I can remember my entire being scream in agony as I held onto my father's cold, lifeless hand.

Then there is always a hero to every story, isn't there? A hero who I despised from the moment he opened his mouth.

His name is Alexander. He is my inevitable I never expected to find. The one my broken heart leads me to. His existence, his touch, everything he did to make my pain bearable will leave a mark on me forever.

Yet, I know that when I'm gone, he'll only remember me as a fading memory.

Excerpt
A knock on my door startled me out of my thoughts, and I hesitated.

Hearing another insistent knock just a few seconds later, I made sure my towel was secure around my body and went to answer the door.

As I peeked out from the small opening, I saw Alexander standing just a few inches away from me. Our eyes met, and my pulse quickened. As I was still dripping wet, the cold air coming from the hallway caused me to shiver. His eyes broke away from mine, taking in my body from head to toe.

I tried to cover my half-naked body behind the door, but it was pointless.

“What do you want?” I asked, annoyed that he was doing the silent thing and just staring.

I heard the elevators ping open down the hallway, and his attention shifted from me for a second.

Being done with the scrutinizing look he was giving me, I started to close the door on his face, but his hand stopped me from pushing it all the way. With his next forward move, I had to let go of the door and take a step back as he strode into my room.

Into me.

“What the hell—”

His hand shot out, and he gently grabbed me at the back of my neck and pulled my body toward him as his lips made contact with mine. He took another step into me, and I found my body plastered to his. Putting both of my hands on his chest, I tried to push him off, but he urged my lips apart with his, and his tongue sneaked into my mouth, forcing me to respond to his kiss. Because when he looked like he did, how could you not?

As my body slackened against him, his sudden kiss turned into something different, something more and unexpected. It was hard, yet still gentle and slow—something I wouldn’t expect from a jerk like him. He looked more like someone who would take what he wanted the way he wanted it. Not like that would have been a hardship, but still.

He splayed his warm hand at the small of my back and slowly pulled my lower body into his. I grabbed the lapels of his suit, pulling him down to me, leaning into the kiss as I melted around his body.

“What was that?” he whispered against my wet lips.

“What?” I muttered, dazed.

Before I could realize what I had done with whom, he groaned and gently pushed me back against the open door, his hand still protecting the back of my head. Caressing my lips with his tongue, he claimed my mouth in another drawn-out kiss.

A mind-numbing kiss.

A kiss that made me lose my judgment.

A throat cleared behind him, next to him, somewhere—and the moment was lost.

Ella Maise - Lost Prelude

Guest Post from Author Ella Maise

My Playlist For Certain Scenes in Lost Prelude
There is one song in Lost Prelude that plays a heavy role in the book, which I will mention just in a sec, but there are also other songs I listened to as I was writing it. And somehow the music just fits into the story. Even if the words don’t exactly match with it, the feeling I get is simply perfect for certain scenes. And I wanted to shared them with you so if you decide to give Lost Prelude a chance, maybe you’ll add to the experience with these songs.

* Maurice Ravel – Pavane pour une infante défunte (Piano Solo)

This piece is seriously breathtaking, and it plays a huge role in the story. While I can’t pinpoint a specific scene for this one, I do mention it in the story. At least whenever Maya is listening to it. All I can say is, it is a special one for her father. If you’ve never listened to it, you are missing out.

* Until The Ribbon Breaks – One Way Or Another

I LOVE this song. I loved it before I even wrote Lost Prelude, and I definitely LOVE how it is the perfect song for the end scene. I’m sure if you read it, you’ll agree with me. It’s an awesome cover for the classic One Way Or Another. Everytime I listen to it I get goosebumps.

* Snowhill – Be My Baby

Did you hear this version? I know I keep saying the same thing over and over, but this one is beautiful too. And this one works great for the scene where Maya is with Alexander in his penthouse. And it’s from Alexander to Maya ... I adore every word in this song.

* Sam Smith – Not in That Way

Okay, I have to admit that this one isn’t specifically for a scene, but it is an awesome song. And it kind of gives you an insight of how Maya is feeling.

About the Author
Ella Maise

I'm an avid reader. Therefore, a big dreamer. I love nothing more than to escape real life to find those very few magical moments in a book. I love how it has the power of stealing your worries away, putting a smile on your face, and of course sometimes making you crush on fictional characters. I can't even begin to describe how exciting it is to give life to new characters and fall for them. It's definitely a different kind of addiction.

I'm still searching for my own happy ending. Until that happens, I'll live vicariously through my own characters.
