Who's looking for a really good MMA romance to read? I've been in a drought lately and was searching for a good MMA romance and this one stood out and called my name. This Round for Love is the second book in the Champion Hearts series by Malia Mallory. This is the first book by this author that I've read and she did not leave me hanging, she delivered a powerful romance that hit me from all directions. It has lust, love, intrigue, twists and drama...just the kind of book to bring me out of my drought and into a book coma. Her writing style is clean and crisp. The book is fast paced and doesn't drag. This is Darcy and Ford's saga about finding their everlasting love.
From the beginning when their eyes met Darcy and Ford were drawn to each other. Neither of them was looking for Cupid. Something about Darcy intrigued Ford. He wanted to get to know her better. Ford is your typical fighter that suffered a debilitating injury and thought his career was over. He went through months of therapy to jump start his career and was ready to regain his pride along with the title. Darcy was a tennis pro and after years of touring with the circuit decided to retire and began working for her father and his hotel chains.
Upon finishing, I realized I had thoroughly enjoyed my reading time. The author succeeded in helping me escape into her fantasy world of MMA fighters, suspense and romance. This book is told by alternating perspectives which allows the reader a glimpse at both the hero and heroine and what they are going through. I look forward to reading more by her and suggest you read this book too.
