Review of Play Me by Katie McCoy

Recipe For:
A Roll In The Hay Hot Crossed Buns Love

Ingredients:

1 Chef (equal parts sexy and carefree)
1 Pianist (equal parts uptight and endearing)
1/8 inch of drywall between their apartments
2 opinions on everything

Combine all ingredients, mix vigorously, and be prepared for an explosion of heat.

Pianist Ella Thomas is training for the competition of her life. Finally in an apartment of her own, she can practice from dawn till dusk.
But she didn't bet on the sexy and frustrating neighbor keeping her up all night - even if he does cook like a maestro and kiss like it’s his job.

Jake Matson is living his dream as Head Chef at one of the most popular restaurants in San Francisco. He's easy going, flirtatious and not looking for love. He didn't expect to be completely distracted by the girl next door, whose buttoned-up appearance hides the seductive firecracker underneath.

What happens when opposites attract? As their tension fires up, can they create a new kind of music together or will everything boil over?

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

When a man knows his way around not only a kitchen but a woman's body, he is every woman's dream man!  As I read this steamy read by the talented Katie McCoy, I had to ask myself why this was my first time reading her work!  Play Me is fun, beautifully sweet, intensely sexy and filled with dialogue that will grab your attention.  I loved the way the two main characters are so diverse and yet so alike.  Ella and Jake's love story will take you on a classical, culinary ride that is unforgettable while heartwarming. This is a great addition to my Contemporary Romance library and it will not be the last by this amazing author.

When you get in bed at two or three in the morning, you really need your sleep!  Working as the head chef of one of San Francisco's most touted restaurant, Jake Matson has almost reached his life goal.  He is one step closer to owning and running his own restaurant, where he can showcase his menu, filled with dishes that he has created.  So, why is his new neighbor playing the piano?  It doesn't matter that she is seriously hot and affects him like no one ever has before! What could a classically trained pianist and a chef possibly have in common?

No one has ever really believed in her ability as a musician.  Her love of Classical Music is a driving force behind the pursuit of her dream. Her ex only wants to change her, make her into some one cold, stiff and without heart.  But Ella Thomas wants to show others the beauty of her music.  When she meets her tall, ripped, tattooed neighbor she finds out that first impressions are not always the way things really are.  Jake Matson makes her feel alive, like she had been living in a dream world.  Is it possible to combine their two very different lives into one reality?
