Falling for Owen by Jennifer Ryan is
a delightful contemporary romance story about finding your true love and
stopping at nothing to hold on to it. The
author establishes the characters’ needs, desires, fears and longings to create
a well written, tingling in your toes feeling.
“You make everything in my life
shine.”
Growing up as the town’s
troublemaker, Owen McBride is now a changed man. He works hard as an attorney for all his
clients. He loves and adores his nieces. He is a beautiful man inside and out. Claire Walsh is new in town. She’s opened a coffee shop and is looking for
a new beginning. Having been hurt in the
past, she is slow to trust her growing feelings for Owen.
“No. You’re convinced I’m lying just because I’m
talking. Take your ex-colored glasses
off and see me…I’m not him.”
I enjoyed the development in their
relationship. The couple’s bond grew from
lustful thoughts and initial attraction to feelings of protection and strong cravings
of love for each other.
“Nothing had ever felt like
this. No one made her feel quite like
this. Free. Loved.
Special. Beautiful.”
“…I’ll love you every day for the
rest of your life and mine.”
