Sophie is the black sheep of the family. Although Sophie is extremely intelligent and capable she drops out of college to spend the next years of her life flitting from place to place and job to job. Her latest job as a waitress is beneath her family’s social status and viewed as another of Sophie’s Follies. While visiting Las Vegas as part of a Bridal Party she has her whole world turned upside down. When she finds herself trapped in an elevator with a hot guy and all he does is look at her with disgust, Sophie knows she needs to do something with her life. Sophie cannot believe that he thinks she is a prostitute and views her as odious. When Sophie returns home and meets her perfect sister’s new boyfriend who just happens to be “Mr. I’m Not Looking for an Escort Service” she cannot believe that this is happening to her.
Grayson cannot believe that the woman from the elevator belongs in this family. She just doesn’t fit with the perfect family vibe from the other members. He had met sister Brynn and she seems perfect as a possible person to date. Brynn was an orthodontist, extremely beautiful and was a perfect fit for him. So why does her sister stir feelings that keep him off balance? Gray is a very controlled man and he likes his life ordered. What he doesn’t expect is to hire Sophie to work as his personal assistant. How did that happen? The more he is around Sophie the more he is attracted to her and her bohemian style. She does her job well and knows how to smooth clients that are difficult to work with. So why is he fighting the attraction? Who will Gray choose, Sophie or Brynn? Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is a hilarious, moving, sexy story about a woman that has difficulties finding out who she really is and what she wants from life. It takes someone thinking that she is a prostitute for hire to give her the wakeup call she needs to move forward with her life. The man that does that is also the man she decides she wants.
Would I read other books by this author: Yes! Ms. Layne is an author that never seems to repeat herself and always has something fresh and new for her readers. It makes for an enjoyable read and the need to read another book!
