~Review: Roy's Rent-A-Hubby by Carol Rose~

New contemporary romance by the author of the bestselling romance 'Always'

Desperate to repair the damage her boss’ dog did to the woman’s home while Addison Montgomery was dog- and house-sitting, Addy calls on Roy’s Rent-A-Hubby. But the man who meets her at Miriam’s front door is nothing like the tool-belt schlepping Roy she’d expected. Sardonic, opinionated and melt-in-your-mouth sexy, her Mr. Fix-it both annoys and arouses Addy.

Unbeknownst to her, Mr. Fix-it’s name isn’t really Roy and he’s only recently taken up the woodworking profession. He’s Noah Pierce, a burned-out stockbroker who’s gone back to the simple life and he thinks Addy is crazy to chase after the hollow goal of traditional success.

Overall Rating:  4 Rockin’ ★★★★

Addison has agreed to housesit for her boss while she is on vacation.  The job also includes caring for her dog which just happens to be a huge Shepherd Malamute mix that isn’t adapt at leaving things intact when he is in a hurry to go.  Fritz had broken part of the handrail on such an occasion and Addison needed it repaired before her boss returned.  So what do you do when you need something fixed and fast?  You call Rent a Hubby and get a man to take care of the problem without the fuss of having a real husband.   When Addison opens the door for her hired help, she can’t believe the incredibly sexy man standing in front of her is her carpenter savior.

Noah was a burned out former New Yorker that had chased the all American dream and then decided to give it all up.  He moved to a small town and bought a handy man business.  Now he is living the easy live, stress free, hassle free and no ulcers.  Until he is called to do a job for a Miss Addison Montgomery and suddenly his life is not so perfect any more.  Addison however is a stressed out, workaholic just like he once had been and all she seemed to focus on was getting ahead in her business.

When Noah finishes the job repairing the handrail on the staircase he decides to show Addison that he wants to get to know her.  His kiss is interrupted by Addison’s boss and she totally misinterprets the kiss they were sharing and Addison’s state of undress.  When Ms. Miriam Canfield asks when they were married, confusion really takes over.  What will Noah and Addison do? Find out by reading this totally fun and entertaining story.
