Overall Rating: 4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★
In the second book of Michael Phillip Cash's Battle for
Darracia, Michael transmits more from the wonderful world of Darracia and its
people. Again, with the vast array of
characters and their plight for survival and coming together. This is a beautifully crafted work of science
fiction that will not disappoint!
Now King of Darracia, V'sair will advance to the throne after
his father's death by his uncle, as he struggles to continue his father and
mother's long upstanding agenda of making all Darracians equal. With Tulani being gone to the Desa with her
grandeam Bobbin to learn more about the Quyroo way, he is missing her
terribly. She will be his queen one day
soon, but not until she has found her place among her people. V'sair wants to bring about the change that
is needed for his world, but encounters obstacles that endlessly thwart his
goal. As he pursues his directives, he
holds tightly to his connection with the Elements while he battles against the
evils that would decimate his world.
This book brings to light a new threat to Darracia and new
characters into the fold. Some of the
characters I loved immediately, while others I wanted to hate. The way this author forms his words had me
instantly hooked and longing to find out how it would all come to an end. However, as to be expected like the first
installment, this book left me hanging. I long to find out how everything will
come to fruition. Will V'sair finally
understand his purpose in the world? Can
he overtake the evil that is threatening to ruin Darracia? You intrigue my space fiction boundaries,
Michael.
