Welcome to the world of Maya, a woman that is searching for an answer, an answer to why?  Her marriage is not the happy place that it once was.  She has lost her focus, her work is suffering.  Even her daughter cannot heal the unrest inside her soul.  This is the story of a woman’s quest to discover what has happened to the woman that once looked back at her in the mirror.  In this book Ms. Goldberg weaves a story of sexual tension, paradise lost and then found into a tale of reclamation. 

The world around her seems lifeless, with joy or color.  Her husband Uri sends her on a journey.  This journey is be an excursion into self-discover and rebirth. Maya’s journey takes her into a chance meeting with a man that she enters into an affair with.  This affair leads her into committing adultery with a stranger but also at the same time makes her feel that she is alive.  Through her clandestine affair, Maya begins the process of healing and finding the woman she lost.  The peace and comfort she finds in Thailand allows Maya to reestablish who she is and find her way home.

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is an inspiring story of how is never impossible to reclaim who you are regardless of how lost you may feel.  It sizzles with sexual lust, while at the same time being sensual and intriguing.  

Would I recommend this author: Yes! This was my first time reading a book by this author and I found her storyline unusual, her characters fascinating. I look forward to reading more for this gifted writer.
