This novella is a continuation of Kadence and Nix's love story from the highly acclaimed first book in the Knights Rebels MC series, Incandescent by River Savage. Ms. Savage once again brings to life in this book the steadfast relationship between Kadence and Nix. Nix demonstration of his love and loyalty is why he is my favorite character by far from this series. His dirty mouth and strong alpha tendencies drive Kadence crazy but this interaction between the two main characters creates a repartee filled with sexual tension.
The author delves into a serious issue for new mothers, postpartum depression. I especially liked the way the author explored this issue and touched so many with this real and debilitating issue in her story. Throughout the story, Nix strives to help Kadence overcome her "post-partum baby blues" and to pull her out of the depression she has fallen into. He is determined to help her heal and not lose the woman he loves. Once again, we see how far Nix will go to not only help his woman but give her the support she needs.
A nice aside to this novella is that we get an update on the lives of characters from previous books. There is also a small insight into where the series maybe headed. You will need to read to find out!
