~Review: The Return of The Rebel by Jennifer Faye~

The guy from the wrong side of the tracks…

Being promoted should be a dream come true, only it means working closely with Cleo's childhood crush, Jax Monroe. Jax may no longer be the rebel she remembers, but he still gets her heart racing like no other.

Jax cares too much about Cleo to let her get too close—but keeping his distance is proving impossible! As Jax reveals the extent of what he's been through, will Cleo show him that some things are too precious to put off until tomorrow?

Overall Rating:  4 Rockin’ ★★★★

"Her gaze lifted up to meet his.  The tender look in her eyes touched something deep within him-a part of him that he thought was long dead.  In that moment, he felt more alive than he had in months."

Jennifer Faye's Return of the Rebel is a fabulous, vibrant, and truly touching story.  The novel is a wonderful depiction of how two people from two different worlds can be so much alike.  It just goes to show that love has no time limits or restrictions.

Jax Monroe was labeled the infamous bad boy when he was a kid.  As an adult, he went to college and became one of the most sought after tycoons on Wall Street.  He came from nothing and made a life for himself.  However, he was all alone.  After a bit of trouble in the business world and his personal life, he takes a much needed vacation to Vegas.  There, he runs into the one girl who he has always held close to his heart and was always off limits; but now, she's all grown up and no longer untouchable.

Cleo Sinclair is a very head strong, independent woman.  Not wanting to stay on the family ranch, she struck out on her own after college to find the job of her dreams.  In the process, she ostracized herself from the family.  Nonetheless, it has been a struggle for her because of her tenacious behavior to move up the ladder, especially in the gambling hotel business in Vegas.  Finally getting her chance at her dream job, it all comes to a screeching halt when a blast from the past entires her life again which reignites all sorts of desire within her.

Secrets, love, sadness and longing all play intricate parts of this remarkable story.   Will Jax be able to love Cleo the way he longs to?  Can Cleo help her family and reconcile with them in the process?  This is a marvelous book that will not disappoint you, so read this book!  Excellent job, Jennifer!  Grēta
