~Review: Bittersweet Catastrophe (Second Chances #2.5) by Maureen Mayer~

***NOW A FULL LENGTH NOVEL!***

For•ev•er (fɔːˈrɛvə; fə-): without end; everlasting; eternally

It might have taken twenty-two years to find Liberty, but now that Shayne has her, he’s not willing to let her go without a fight.

Shayne and Liberty finally found their forever, leaving Shayne’s past indiscretions behind and moving forward to start a life together. But what if forever wasn’t truly in the stars for them?

What should be one of the happiest times in their lives as newlyweds quickly turns into a race against time. Liberty must choose between accepting her fate and protecting her family, and taking a risk that could ultimately end in more heartache.

Liberty’s decision will test the strength of their trust, but is it enough to keep Shayne from breaking down altogether and losing the woman he loves?

Overall Rating:  5 Rockin’ ★★★

From the moment Liberty literally ran me down on the beach, my life was forever changed.  When she opened her eyes and looked into mine it was like she saw me, all of me.  Regardless of the pain in my past this woman gave me peace and she was the piece that made me whole.  Liberty was now my wife the light to my darkness and the joy that I found each day!  Our prayers had been answered, we were finally becoming parents.  So when the doctor said twins needless to say, I’m in shock.

Life is never as you expect it to be, there are always times that seem perfect and some that you don’t know if you will survive or not.  Even during this time there is always the assurance of the love that Liberty and I share.  With that commitment we can withstand anything even the darkest hours and problems that a couple faces.  When Liberty finds an abnormality on her breast, the doctor assures us there is nothing to worry about.  She is pregnant and now there may be something happening to her that we have no control over.  You will laugh, cry then do it all over again as you read this heartwarming love story.

Would I recommend this author: Yes! This is a must read author, starting with Book 1 in the Second Chances series. The final book, Silent Repercussions will finish the series.
