This is a story about two people that have suffered and survived the loss of loved ones and survived. The ability to overcome their losses is met in different way but both find themselves on a path that leads them to each other. My heart bled for Rebecca as she dealt with the loss of her mother and cried for Pierce as he found his way through the loss and betrayal of his father. Love takes many forms but finding your true love makes for an unforgettable experience and this book gives the reader that experience.
Rebecca lost her best friend, confidant and mother to a cruel disease, lung cancer. She put her life on hold to care for her mother for the last three years and had no regrets for the precious gift of that time with her mother. Now, however, she found herself without a job, homeless and no one to turn to. While leaving a bar, she is accosted by a drunk and takes her frustrations out on him when she defends herself. She is taken aback by a beautiful, chivalrous man that comes to her aid and a connection is formed between them. Rebecca does not have time for a relationship, after all she is living out of her car and she has to find a job fast. Through an acquaintance she was given an opportunity to interview for a possible job at a local resort.
Pierce has been blessed with family. His mother, four brothers and sister have been the center of his life since his father left them for another woman. As the oldest male in his family he assumed the role head of the house. Life has revolved around family and building his business with one night stands on the side until one night when he sees a woman across a crowded room that will forever change his life. When he attempts to come to her aid, she brushes him off and leaves. He follows her and tries to find out more about her, but she gives him a false name and disappears. Pierce cannot believe his eyes when he looks across the lobby of his resort and there she is the woman that disappeared, looking as beautiful as her remembers. Has fate stepped in and given him the opportunity to woo her? Will she give him the chance to get to know her?

Would I recommend this book: Yes! I loved this book and would encourage anyone that loves to read a beautiful love story that has a happily ever after to read it! It checks all the boxes off for a truly incredible read.
