~Review: Twin Dragons (Dragon Lords of Valdier #7) by S.E. Smith ~

Melina Franklin was barely sixteen when she and her grandfather were kidnapped from their small farm in Georgia by an alien trader and sold to an Antrox mining asteroid in deep space. Mistaken for a young boy, she lives in fear of being found out and sold. Her only companionship for the next five years is her grandfather and the Pactors, a large creature used for hauling the mining ore, that she takes care of. She dreams of the day when she and her grandfather will somehow escape and return home to the rolling green hills of their farm.

Calo and Cree Aryeh have been secured as the personal guards for Creon Reykill’s mate, Carmen Walker. The twin brothers are a rare species of dragon known for their fierceness in battle. Born to the mystic dragon clan of the Northern Mountains, they have given their allegiance to the Dragon Lords vowing to serve and protect the royal family and their new true mates. The brothers know they will never be able to have a true mate of their own. Never in the history of their clan have twin dragons been able to find a mate capable of handling two male dragons. They can only hope that they die in battle so they are not destined to be caged when the loneliness eventually drives their dragons insane.

The twin dragons are confused when two humans are discovered on an abandon asteroid mine. The old man and his grandson appear normal enough but their dragons and their symbiots are driving them crazy, insisting the boy is their true mate. Neither know how to handle the other two parts of themselves or their need to remain close to the boy. On top of that, the young human male refuses to have anything to do with either of them. He hides and avoids them every time they get near him.

Things become clearer when they discover Mel is really Melina. Unfortunately, finding out their true mate is really a woman does little to change her feelings toward them. She is even more determined to return to her world.

When her wish comes true, the brothers know they have no choice but to kidnap her and hide her away. Can they convince her to give them a chance at happiness or will she seek protection from the royal family they have vowed to serve? If that is not bad enough, there is another who has his eye on their mate and will do whatever is necessary to keep her – including killing the twin dragons who have claimed her first.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

There has never been a pair of twin dragons that have found their true mate.  The longer a dragon shifter goes without finding his mate the more likely he will go insane.  Cree and Calo are twins and they have promised each other that they will die in battle, fighting the good fight before they reach the point of no return.  But they have been told the story by their father that twin dragons can find their true mate.  Will they find a true mate before it is to late?

Cree and Calo are twin dragons and they have fought years against the darkness that is trying to take over their souls.  If they do not find their true mate soon they will go home for the last time to see their parents and then end their lives.  When the twins' dragons sense their true mate it seems like a miracle until they meet the young human male that was granted asylum aboard their warship. Is this what the Goddess has planned for them?

She was kidnapped one night off her family's farm in Georgia by aliens.  With her grandfather they were both sold as workers to an alien race to be used in their mines.  To insure her safety her grandfather told the aliens that she was a young boy and kept her true identity hidden.  They are rescued after four years by Prince Creon a leader of the dragon shifters and he is also married to a human named Carmen.  The Prince promises that he will return them to Earth as soon as possible but first he must complete the mission that he is currently on. Melina finally feels hope where there was none before, they are going home!    The only problem is the two beautiful men that Melina feels drawn to from her first moment that she sees them.  Confusion is running wild through Melina, she does not understand what is happening to her.

The twins know that she is their true mate and they do not understand the feelings they are experiencing toward a male!  Will they find out the truth, that the young boy is really a beautiful young woman?  Can they convince Melina she is their mate?  Or will she return to Earth and leave them to darkness?
