Review of Bound in Darkness (Immortal Brothers #4) by Jacquelyn Frank

From New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank comes the captivating conclusion to the sizzling series featuring four immortal warrior brothers who love as hard as they fight.

After drinking from the fountain of immortality along with his brothers, Maxum is condemned by the gods to be entombed in the earth. Even though he has now been granted a reprieve by day, each night he is buried anew, his rock-hard body immobilized, his bones crushed by the pressure. When he emerges, his body heals, but his spirit remains scarred. There is only one way for Maxum to be completely free: He must kill the god who cursed him.

The task will require tremendous power, so Maxum embarks on a quest to gather talismans to equip him for the battle. Then an earthy wench seduces him and steals one of his magical amulets, but he catches her. Finding herself between a rock and a hard place, she strikes a bargain. The beautiful and alluring Airianne is a skilled thief—and she can help him in his acquisition of the talismans. Will this stealthy seductress also try to steal his heart—or will their boldness end up getting them both buried?

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

In the conclusion to The Immortal Brothers series, Jacquelyn Frank creates a fascinating world in her final novel, Bound In Darkness.  This is Maxum’s story of his attempts to find a way to break the curse placed on him when he and his three brothers enter Olympus to drink from the fountain of eternal life and gain immortality. Ms. Frank’s has a way of creating characters that sizzle as they move through the pages of her novels.  Although each book in this series followed the brothers as they try to find release and peace, they are totally unique in the approach used to find resolution to their plight. Read and enjoy Airianne and Maxum’s journey to find the end to the brother’s quest!
Eternal suffering from being buried underground is the price Maxum pays nightly for his part in pursuing immortality. He has finally found a way to break the vicious cycle of entombment and resurrection.  With his followers he is on the trail of the talismans that will allow him to not only kill the god that cursed him but also free him from the soul destroying cycle.  After rising and healing from his excruciating burial, he meets a woman that intrigues him, Airianne. But this woman is more than she seems to be, can she help him finally free himself from his curse? Or will she be the cause of his continued eternal damnation? She is a thief!  Or is she?
Ms. Franks is a remarkably talent writer.  Her words paint pictures in the readers mind to the point that they feel they are inside the story.  The way she creates and unfolds her storyline is extraordinary and keeps the reader so involved that they cannot put the book down until it is finished.   Her books sizzle with sexual tension and action packed drama.  This is a MUST read and addition to anyone’s paranormal library.
