Since the beginning, every reader out there has been begging for it, and we have sat by quietly enjoying little bones about what was happening to Lily. This book brings all that frustration and anticipation to the front.
Lily needed consistency. Shade needed control. Together they needed each other to be whole. This is a very sad story. From the first look at her he knew she was his. She was scared and trust came to a select few. After a tragic event, Shade swore he wouldn't wait any longer. From there he built a bridge of trust for her...because he loved her. Love was never in her future, but Shade allowed her to dream of her happily ever afters.
In conclusion, the author delivered a phenomenal closure to Lily and Shade's story. I was enamored by the emotions running off the pages. King, Rachel, Lily, Shade, Beth...I could keep going but you felt their horror, love, need, love, and acceptance. This book complimented the series and was above my expectations. Thank you for allowing Lily and Shade a happily ever ending story.
