Review of Gabe: The Alvarez Security Series by Maryann Jordan

Alvarez Security Agency
Former Special Forces brothers-in-arms now working together to provide an elite security service in the southern city of Richland.

Gabe Malloy, dedicated to his brothers, spent his weekends with cheap booze and easy women. When some of his friends finally settled down, he wondered if he would ever find the woman of his dreams. He just never expected to encounter her in an alley.

Jennifer Lambert worked as a social worker for the city and would often take food to the elderly residents in her building. One night, in an alley behind a restaurant, she was startled by a tall, handsome man wanting to assist. Giving him the cold shoulder, she left…but dreams of him followed her long into the night.

Gabe knew the independent Jennifer was a woman worthy of knowing, but convincing the beauty that she needed him was the challenge. Raising her young brother plus the responsibilities of the elder center, had kept her from looking for love…but she took a chance on Gabe.

Now that he found her, can he keep her safe when someone threatens her and those she loves? Calling upon his brothers, Alvarez Security races to save her before it is too late.

****Due to scenes of an explicit sexual nature and language that some consider crude, please be warned - for 18+ only! If you do not like alphas with heart who fall instantly in love with strong female characters while dealing with real life issues...again be warned!!*****

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
If you are in the market for a phenomenal romance that includes giant size alpha males with some really incredible skills (physical and mental), then this is the book for you!  In Maryann Jordan’s first book in the Alvarez Security Agency series, she introduces us to an amazing group of men and women that form an unusual family. The base for this family is a group of brothers that served together in the military, where they formed a close knit brotherhood.  This is Gabe and Jennifer’s story.  A story that tells of their fight to keep and protect the love they have found within each other’s arms.

War changes a man!  You become a member of a brotherhood, always protecting your brothers’ back and watching out for one another.  It also haunts those men that see the unthinkable happen.  Women and children used as pawns in a war they had no place to be in.  Gabe Malloy is such a man, a man that loves his county and honors his fellow warriors.  When he leaves the military he becomes part of a security agency formed by his team leader and friend in Richland, Virginia.  Gabe finds himself wanting more than the one night stands and party lifestyle he has been living.  Something is missing in his life, but what?  When he stumbles across a fairy princess in an alley, he realizes she is what is missing in his life!

A giant was blocking her path!  The man was not only huge but beautiful as well.  He was also a player, not someone that would give a girl like her a second look.  Jennifer cannot believe it when her giant begins to stalk her, telling her he wants to get to know her!  She has never been one for one night stands and has too many things on her plate right now to get involved with a man. Even if the man is everything a girl dreams of!  Her parents were killed in a car accident a year ago and she became the guardian of her eight year old brother.  With her job as an advocate for the elderly and caring for her brother, there really was no time left for a man.  But will she be able to convince Gabe of that?

When unexplained things begin to happen, Gabe and his brothers pitch in to find out what is going on. Someone wants to get Jennifer out of the way and they are willing to do anything necessary to accomplish their goals!
