Selene had loved her father as a young girl until he disappeared after her mother’s death. She had been told that he was responsible for the death of her mother and since then she has lived to take revenge on her father. The only trouble is that her bondmate works with her father as a member of the Alpha Pack and is sworn to protect his brothers.
Rushing in, he hit the wolf from the side and sent them both skidding across the ground. Immediately, he leaped on the intruder’s back before he could gain his footing, driving him into the dirt and leaves. The other wolf was no match for Zan’s weight and couldn’t throw him no matter how he struggled. Blood lust roared through his veins, and he lunged, sinking his fangs through thick fur into the wolf’s neck.
When Zander realizes that the wolf is a female he also feels the bond between them lock into place. They haven’t even exchanged names; all he had been thinking was to protect his boss. Big shock, however when they do exchange names, she is his bosses daughter.
“Selene Westfall.” She raised one eyebrow. Congrats are in order, eh? I mean, since your boss just became you father-in-law and all.”
Zander had been suffering with hearing loss since their last mission and he was growing more and more concerned with his place as a member of the pack. After biting Selene his hearing starts to return. He has been warned not to use his healing ability again until his brain has a chance to heal. Zander is a healer and it goes against everything that he is not to heal someone if it is needed.
“It won’t be easy. As for me, my fighting days are over unless my hearing improves a lot more.” He looked away, out the window. “I almost got Nix killed earlier. That’s why I was out for a run when I came across you and Nick. I was trying to decide whether to leave here for good.”
Selene must decide if she will stay with Zander. She must find out the truth about her father and also what happened to her mother. Both will face the ultimate test when they face an evil from the past.
Zan? What’s wrong? What’s happening? It was a trap, he sent to her. There was a bomb and it went off. Baby, we need help. Oh my god! Are you all right?

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is a phenomenal book about the paranormal world that holds you captive until the very end.
Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I have enjoyed all the books written by this author and look forward to the next book in this series. I wonder if it will be Nick’s story.
