Denae and Kellan escape the Dark Fae and with help of friends.  Phelan, a warrior; Tristan, a Dragon Lord; and Rhi, a Light Fae; they all come together to fight the evil of the Dark Fae.  Denae did not know there was anything out there like the Dark. 

She visibly swallowed and handed him the manacle they had taken from their prison  “I thought I had seen evil before, but I was wrong.  The Dark Fae embodies evil in a way I didn’t know existed.”

When the leader of the Dark tries to take Denae again she fights back.  Now she realizes that not only M15 wants her, but the Dark Fae leader will also be hunting her.  There is nowhere that she can run without harming those she cares about.  When they return to Dreagan, Kellan realizes that everything has changed for the Dragon Lords and humans. 

Their dragons would never return.  The humans were too many.  There was no place for dragons on earth, and he was beginning to wonder if there was even a place for Dragon Kings.

Denae knows that she must wipe out any record of herself with M15 and to do this she must infiltrate the organization and delete everything.  The leader of the Dragon Lords does not want her to stay, so she makes plans to leave.

“What are your plans?” 

It wasn’t like she could tell Con she’d been hoping she and Kellan would have this conversation first, or that she desperately wanted to stay with Kellan.

With the help of Rhi, Denae is able to take care of business at M15 but she misses Killan. Will she ever see him again? Denae returns to her family home in Texas.  She knows that her life will never be the same without Killan! When she finds him standing on her walkway Denae realizes how much she loves him.
