The up-and-coming matchmaking agency Kinnections is the hottest thing to hit Verily, New York—just like Kennedy Ashe, social director for the service she owns with her two best girlfriends. A coach, consultant, and cheerleader rolled into one super-sizzling package, Kennedy creates dream dates, encourages singles to shine, and never refuses a challenge—not even Nate Ellison Raymond Dunkle, rocket scientist, nerd extraordinaire, and Kennedy’s newest client.
Kennedy vows to work her magic and transform this hot mess in a lab coat with a disastrous relationship track record into the most wanted man on the Verily dating scene. If only she could turn the wand on herself . . .
Though she radiates confidence and sex appeal, Kennedy harbors deep-seated insecurities from a tormented past and lifelong struggle with weight issues. When she realizes she and Nate are cut from the same cloth and might be perfect together, can Kennedy learn to let her heart lead the way? Or will her fears sentence her to the sidelines as Nate finds love—with someone else?
Overall Rating: 5 Rockin’ ★★★★★
Ned craved a real connection with a woman, someone he could share his life with. He had no interest in bar hopping or bed hopping. Marriage equaled all the things he lacked: comfort, sex, and companionship.
Nathan Ellison Raymond Dunkle was a nerd! He was looks and acts exactly like one from his stained lab coat, oversized glasses, and lack of communication skills. Ned needed help finding a wife so he signs up for a speed-dating mixer.
Oh yeah. Major nerd. From the glasses to the clothes to the poor social conversation, this man screamed, Help me. Could he be genuine? Curiosity piqued. “What are you looking for? To get laid? A few dates?”
“I want to find a wife,”
Ned doesn’t even impress one of the perspective dates! He is ignored, scorned, and put down by most of the women. When Ned offends the last candidate, he is asked to meet the event organizer next door at a diner. When he meets with Kennedy and is offered a make-over to help him find his future date, Ned agrees even though he is really attracted to her. The first change Kennedy suggests is his name!
“You know if you put the R in, you come up with NERD.”
Kennedy knows that Nate has potential and she plans to change everything about him but whom he really is. During her fact finding interview, Kennedy realizes that Nate will put the same planning and research into finding the perfect wife that he does on his job as an aerospace engineer. Nate really is attracted to Kennedy but he knows there is no way she would even look at him.
He would have to be very, very stupid to ever think Kennedy Ashe would want him for forever. She was too beautiful. Too perfect. And that, he knew, was a deadly combination.
The more time that they spend together, the more they both are drawn to each other. Kennedy is fighting her feelings for the new and improved Nate. She begins to see the real man.
“You always seem to surprise me, Nate Dunkle.” “As do you, Kennedy Ashe.”
Nate saves Kennedy from an abusive date and takes care of you afterwards. The feelings they both have for each other explode in a night of wild and satisfying sex. Will Nate be able to convince Kennedy to take a chance on them being the real thing or will the past destroy a future of happiness together?
“Happiness doesn’t just tumble into your life, sweetie. You have to grab it.”

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book is like Revenge of the Nerds vs Valley Girl. It is hilarious and at the same time moving. You want to laugh and cry at the same time you are pulling for the two main characters to find each other. It also has HAWT sex from an ex-nerd.
Would I read other books by this author: Yes! This author has been added to my must read list. I can’t wait to read the next story in this series…about Gen and Wolfe or Arilyn and ?.
