Becca Lee's A Perfect Moment Release Tour

APM Tour Banner

A-Perfect-Moment-Cover Photo

“When life threatens perfect, it’s time to step up and kick life in the balls.”

Ella's perfect moment was taken from her is the worst possible way. Humiliated, heart broken and absolutely determined not to allow her heart be destroyed for a second time, she builds an ice wall around her heart.

Preston has known that he was in love his big sister's best friend since the age of fifteen. Over ten years on, and an opportunity to be her knight in shining armour is too good to miss. Putting his heart on the line, he's on a mission to show Ella that the perfect moment is possible.

Ella's instinct is to run when she realises her feelings for her bestie's little brother may just run a little bit deeper than just friends. But if she can't run, she'll try every trick in the book to shake off his affection and realign his feelings.

She already had her perfect moment, and there is no chance she'll let her heart thaw for Preston. No matter how good he looks in the firefighter's Christmas calendar.

*** Contains steamy-hot moments, romance, friendship and a bulk load of swearing - non explicit sex scenes. ***

Spending the last few years near the Queensland coast, Becca is rarely out of the sea or off the beach. Dragging her long board with her and her overworked Kindle Fire, Becca enjoys her three addictions: reading, surfing and ogling surfers, one of whom is her husband of ten years.
She can still be found regularly on the beach with her family. Becca tends to leave the surfing to her boys; she's far too busy immersed in her own writing or, of course, with her head still buried in a new read.

Vampire's Thirst (Awakening #2) by Cynthia Garner

Starting where Book 1 left off, Duncan MacDonnough has assumed leadership of the local vampire conclave and changes are being met with resistance.

Kimber Treat, the necromancer everyone (including her) blames for starting the zombie apocalypse in the first place. Duncan and Kimber are new in their love and the complications of zombies and hungry vampires puts stress on an already shaky relationship. Duncan wants to keep her safe, but Kimber still believes she can end the Outbreak. Will the cost be too great?

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Vampires and humans are living together in a symbiotic relationship in order to survive the apocalypse. It is an uneasy time for all the survivors.  Flesh eating zombies have taken over most of the earth with only a few colonies of others and humans left.  Duncan as head of the vampire conclave is swamped with keeping everyone alive and fed.  Kimberly as his mate stands by his side as they work to eek out a life for their people. Something is changing, Kimberly and Duncan need to find out what it is.

She would not give in to the swirl of dark energy living inside her.  She couldn’t give in.  To give in would admit defeat.  Would grant dominance to the Unseen…

Kimberly feels that something is inside her trying to get out.  It is aggressive and wants to escape into the human world to wreak havoc and kill.  She wants to share what is happening with Duncan, but is afraid he will leave her.  Kimberly must figure out how to stop the apocalypse.  When two other necromancers come to the enclave, Kimberly finds out that someone else had been trying to reanimate a corpse at the same time that she was doing the same for the police.  The former vampire queen had been trying to raise her dead lover, Eduardo. Kimber had refused to try to bring him back.

“Just out of curiosity, why did Kimber refuse?”  “She said it would take too much blood, too much power, to reanimate a corpse that had been dead over a hundred years.  Also, whatever she brought back wouldn’t really be Eduardo.”

Alliances are being formed between vampire enclaves.  A corridor between enclaves is planned to allow the exchange of materials, goods and help.  Kimberly realizes that she may be expecting an unexpected gift.

Sometimes it sucked being the possible pregnant lover of a vampire during a zombie apocalypse, too.

Kimberly discovers that she can draw power from vampires and use it to destroy the zombies.  The danger is that it pulls her toward evil and she doesn’t know if she will be able to stop and control the siphoning before she kills the vampires she pulls power from. There must be a way to use this power to end the apocalypse.

“I’m so so sorry.”  She curled her fingers in fists.  “It’s this Unseen that’s inside me.  It wanted your power, your life.  We have to get it out of me, Duncan.  Before I kill someone.”

Vampires, humans and the fae must all work together to bring an end to the Unseen fueling the zombie apocalypse.  Love, friendship and loyalty will it be enough to save the others and humankind?  Will Duncan and Kimber’s baby be safe?

Caged Wolf (The Tarot Witches #1) by S.M. Reine

The biker gangs passing through Lobo Norte don’t scare Ofelia anymore. All those men are the same: scarred, homeless, and broken…just like Ofelia. They’ve become a blur of forgettable faces watching her strip. She takes off her clothes, takes their money, and wipes them from her memory instantly.

But Trouble is different. A biker with a wolf tattoo and tortured eyes, he sees beyond Ofelia’s tough disguise to a more fragile woman within. She’s drawn to him like she’s never been drawn to a man before—at least, not since she survived hideous torture at the hands of her ex-boyfriend that left her scarred physically and emotionally. She can’t forget Trouble. And she definitely can’t push him away.

There’s magic between them that neither understands. But maybe if Ofelia and Trouble can find the truth, they can release each other from the chains that bind them to Lobo Norte, to the Fang Brothers biker gang, and to the dark secrets in their pasts…

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

When the Fang Brothers MC arrive in Lobo Norte for the cage fights, Ofelia knows that bad things are about to happen.  The cage fights were a way to get new recruits for the Fang Brothers MC.  I helped run the bar where the fights would take place and I also entertained with pole dancing.  That’s how I first met “Trouble”.

But I wasn’t any other twenty-two-year-old girl, and the third guy-the one on the right, hanging back a little from the others-had my cowboy boots glued to the floor.

There was something different about Trouble that immediate called to me and he seemed to be pulled toward me as well.  We were two lost souls in a lost town in a nowhere-place. I knew that Trouble would be waiting for me outside after my dance.  The problem was the moon was full and he started to shift as we were getting hot and heavy.  Fangs, fur and a howl told me I was in trouble with Trouble.

…being pinned by Trouble’s giant hands as his weight covered me, having his body forced into mine in a way that was much more animal than human.  Being dominated.  Owned.  Marked.  The idea didn’t scare me.  It made heat thrill through my stomach.

When I check the mail I find a strange envelope addressed to me with my name written in calligraphy, it is sealed with red wax.  It is a tarot card and is marked with the number fifteen.  I have a strange feeling about the card, it is signed “The Devil”.

A man and a woman stood in front of him.  They were naked and chained, caught midstep, drifting toward each other as if the satyr’s lustful presence couldn’t quench their desire for each other.  The humans looked like Trouble and me.

Trouble makes his claim on me known.  He tells me that I am his and I will not dance on the full moon because that will keep me safe.

“Mine,” Cooper said.  “I knew it the moment I smelled you.”  His hand cupped my head.  A whimper escaped my throat.  “And you do smell…amazing.”

I cannot get rid of the tarot card.  It will not go away.  I cannot throw it away, burn it or use my witchcraft to destroy it.  It is like a warning of things to come and a future I must face with Cooper.  Will we be able to solve the riddle of the card in time to save each other?

Hero –“Trouble” Cooper: 5 stars
Heroine –Ofelia Hawke: 4.5 stars
Steam: 5 stars
Plot: 4.5 stars
Cliffhanger: Yes

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book is really all inclusive…it has witches, werewolves, motorcycle clubs, a hidden town, pole dancing and don’t forget the cage fights!  Include lust, love and betrayal and you have an awesome read.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I am curious to see how the author will use this start to find the other tarot cards.

Dangerous Angel (Earth Angels #4) by Stacy Gail

Book four of the Earth Angels series

Miami's best bounty hunter, Nikita Tesoro will do anything to collar a fugitive. Including stepping into a stripper's stilettos for the night. Outsmarting her rival Kyle Beaudecker is just a bonus. Despite the sexual tension sparking between them, Nikita keeps a professional distance from "Hurricane" Kyle. After all, she can't get hurt if she doesn't care.

A descendant of the archangel Barakiel with the power to harness electricity, Kyle should be focusing his energy on tracking down a demon that may be hiding in the human realm. But he's a lover, not a fighter, and he'd much rather use his special talents for pleasure: specifically Nikita's. And teaming up to find a bail jumper means spending lots of time together…

But when their case takes a turn for the demonic, Kyle can no longer hide his true nature from Nikita. He'll do whatever it takes to win her heart—even stop the apocalypse. But he can't do it alone.

Overall Rating:  5 Rockin’ ★★★

Ok, so I’m a bounty hunter, female, full of attitude and willing to do just about anything to catch a bail jumper.  That includes waiting tables in a nasty, back alley “Gentlemen’s” Club and doing a little exotic dancing.  I’m not the only bounty hunter in the Miami area and there is one that really has had my attention for the last five years.  His name is Kyle and he is one hunk of deliciousness!  He thinks he is the number one bounty hunter in the area, but that is so not true. Point in fact we were both after the same jumper and guess who caught him?

“Wait a minute.”  But even as suspicion slammed into Kyle with all the force of a sledgehammer, she slapped the cuffs on Jon-Jay and hopped off the stage in a no-nonsense manner, pulling a badge out of one of the spangled bra cuffs of her bikini top as she went.

Kyle has a secret…he is more than a bounty hunter.  He is a human/hybrid cross, part human, part angel.  No one knows his secret and until recently he was on his own.  Now he is a member of active Nephilim community.  Kyle wants to be more than just sex to Nikita, but she is not willing to open up to him until she is attacked by a demon.  The very same demon that Kyle and the Nephilim have been hunting.

“Do you remember meeting someone by your car?  Making someone bleed?  Running like hell along the beach?  Your feet are a mess because of that, by the way.”

Kyle finds that he has no choice but to tell Nikita about who he is and what he is chasing.  Nikita and Kyle team up to try and find the demon and his proxy to stop the demon from manifesting himself into the human world.

“Demons, like angels, are spiritual beings, Nikita.  If these beings are not specifically sent her, it takes one hell of a lot of energy for them to stay in a realm where they don’t belong. You know all those Hollywood movies about demons latching onto humans to the point of possessing them?  There’s actually a lot of truth to that….”

Trust must be earned and freely given by both Kyle and Nikita.  The past must give way so that a future can be made.

“I started out wanting to save the world, but that’s no how I’m ending up.  You are the only person I’m interested in saving, and I’ll do it even if I have to sacrifice every belief I hold dear…”

Hero –Kyle Beaudeckern: 5 stars
Heroine –Nikita Teoro: 5 stars
Steam: 5 stars
Plot: 5 stars
Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book: Yes! Demons and angels are real!  This author presents this shadow world in a new and different way, while throwing in hot sex, an earth shattering apocalypse and action packed adventure.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! After reading this book, I am going to go back and read the first three in the series.

★★★ About Fake It ★★★
As her sizzling new series continues, Jennifer Chance sparks some serious combustion between a sexy biker and a corporate go-getter who’s ready to let her hair down.

New grad Anna Richardson works hard—so hard that she’s given up having a romantic life. Anna has even convinced her friends that she’s dating an amazing guy—who they’ve simply never met. But now Anna has a wedding to attend and needs to produce the hottie she’s been lying about for the past six months. Enter Jake Flynn, her infuriating, motorcycle-riding, jaw-droppingly gorgeous neighbor, who’s more than willing to fake it for a weekend. In fact, Jake won’t be satisfied until things get real.

Though Jake is only playing the role of adoring boyfriend, he’s starting to feel the heat, and judging by Anna’s sweet blush, so is she. Letting chemistry this intense go to waste would be a real shame. Soon, though, the thin line between fantasy and reality fades. Jake may not be what every buttoned-up fast-tracker wants, but he’s sure as hell what Anna needs. And if she takes a ride with him, their adventure never has to end.

★★★ Teaser Reveal! ★★★

“Jake, the wedding would completely suck for you,” Anna protested. “My ex is a nightmare and you would hate all of my friends. You would think the whole thing is ridiculous—because it is.” He just watched her, maddeningly, his smile curving as she tried to sputter out her refusals. “You don’t want to do this. Trust me.”
“I just said I did.”
“But . . . you can’t . . . you wouldn’t . . .” Anna stopped, flustered. What was happening here? Was she actually turning down a viable date? “There’s so much you would have to memorize about Dave. There’s no way you’re going to want to do that.”
Jake just lifted his brows. “You know, for someone who’s just met me, you seem to know a lot about what I would and wouldn’t want to do.”
“I don’t! I mean, I can guess. But I just . . . can’t.” Anna swallowed. “Look, I appreciate it. If I strike out tonight, I’ll call you. How about that?”
“That sounds good.” Jake signaled to the bartender. “So I guess I should make sure you have my number, then.”
“Oh, well yes. I guess. Or, you know, I could just—” Before Anna could complete the sentence, Jake had a pen in his fingers. They were both leaning on the bar, their faces inches apart. He tipped the pen to its side, sliding its base alongside her jaw. The cool metal on her flushed skin startled her, and Anna’s gaze jumped to his. The challenge in his eyes was unmistakable.
“Hold out your hand, Anna,” he said, as if they weren’t in the middle of a crowded bar, in front of everyone.
“That’s not necessary,” she said quickly. “I have other people’s cards—you can just use—just write on one of those.”
His gaze grew hotter, more intense. “That’s no good,” he said. “You might lose it.”
Anna hesitated, then something was triggered deep inside her, and she felt a dangerous flicker of pleasure. She knew that flicker, remembered it from somewhere, even as life and work and responsibility had taught her to keep it doused, out of commission. It had been a long time since she’d let that fire burn.
But now Jake Flynn was positioned in front of her with gasoline and a blowtorch.
Someone cleared his throat beside them, and a disgruntled voice rang out. “Excuse me, I’m Gary, and your friend Lacey—”
“Take off, Gary,” Jake said without turning around. His gaze held hers. “Anna?”
Anna held out her hand, and Jake held her arm steady, cradling it with his fingers. Sensation rocketed through her at the intimate touch, intensifying sharply as she felt the smooth slide of ink on her skin. He wrote slowly, sensually, the pen tracing wickedly silken lines on the hypersensitive skin on the inside of her wrist, all the way down until he reached her palm. By the time he was finished, Anna was amazed she was still conscious. Then he glanced at her.
“Think it’s dry? Or should I blow on it?”

Interview with Author Tillie Cole

Tillie, thank you for taking the time to chat with us over at Twin Sisters Rockin’ Book Reviews today.  We are excited to have you here, so let's get started.

What’s your inspiration for your books?
Lots of things inspire me really. Sweet Home was out of my love for a U.S. southern accent, a bad boy and my love of American Football. Molly loved Religious Philosophy in that novel, as do I, the rest of the story just flowed.
For It Ain’t Me, Babe, it was much more meaningful to me. I worked closely, during university, with survivors of Cults/New Religious Movements and I wanted to use their testimonies for inspiration and write an exciting book, but one that addresses a real-life, and sometimes, a forgotten issue that’s happening in the world. I have a series of YA book coming up next year that were inspired by an episode in history too. I love to write about meaningful topics.
What’s your favorite book?
Pride and Prejudice! To me, it’s perfection. A strong female and a hot, moody male. What’s not to love??? Mr. Darcy is the ultimate and ORIGINAL book boyfriend!
What’s your favorite character from your books?
Argh! I don’t know! I can never choose. They’re like my babies and you can never choose between those! Most of my readers adore Rome (From Sweet Home/Rome), but I think he’ll get some stiff completion from Styx and Rider from It Ain’t Me, Babe!
Have you always wanted to write?
Nope. I wanted to sing. I trained in musical theatre for most of my life and always thought I would go down that route. But like most things in life, it did not pan out for various reasons. I became a teacher of Religion and History and moved around the world with my husband and always thought I’d stay in education. Last year however, I began writing for fun, channeling my creativity in a whole different way, and after some encouragement from my best friend and my family, released my novels and I haven’t looked back since….
What do you feel is your biggest success?
Sweet Home will always be the novel that changed my life. When I pressed publish, I did not expect the incredible response, not in my wildest dreams. That novel changed my life and allowed me to make writing a full time career. I cannot WAIT for you to read the stories I have planned for the future.
Any new projects you are working on?
Lots! I have the rest of the Sweet Home series coming out this year, a new hilarious rom-com and then all my focus will be on a YA trilogy I have been secretly working on. There’s lots to come in the world of Tillie Cole!!!
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to answer our questions.  We look forward to all your new projects!

About the Author

Tillie Cole is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.

It Ain't Me, Babe by Tillie Cole

Sinning never felt so good...

A fortuitous encounter.

A meeting that should never have happened.

Many years ago, two children from completely different worlds forged a connection, a fateful connection, an unbreakable bond that would change their lives forever…

Salome knows only one way to live—under Prophet David’s rule. In the commune she calls home, Salome knows nothing of life beyond her strict faith, nor of life beyond the Fence—the fence that cages her, keeps her trapped in an endless cycle of misery. A life she believes she is destined to always lead, until a horrific event sets her free.

Fleeing the absolute safety of all she has ever known, Salome is thrust into the world outside, a frightening world full of uncertainty and sin; into the protective arms of a person she believed she would never see again.

River ‘Styx’ Nash knows one thing for certain in life—he was born and bred to wear a cut. Raised in a turbulent world of sex, Harleys, and drugs, Styx, unexpectedly has the heavy burden of the Hades Hangmen gavel thrust upon him, and all at the ripe old age of twenty-six—much to his rivals’ delight.

Haunted by a crushing speech impediment, Styx quickly learns to deal with his haters. Powerful fists, an iron jaw and the skillful use of his treasured German blade has earned him a fearsome reputation as a man not to be messed with in the shadowy world of outlaw MC’s. A reputation that successfully keeps most people far, far away.

Styx has one rule in life—never let anyone get too close. It’s a plan that he has stuck to for years, that is, until a young woman is found injured on his lot… a woman who looks uncannily familiar, a woman who clearly does not belong in his world, yet a woman he feels reluctant to let go…

Contemporary Romance/New Adult Novel.

WARNING: Contains sexual situations, violence, taboo subjects, offensive language and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up

Overall Rating:   5 Rockin’ ★★★★

Do you believe in fate?  After reading this book, I do!  When an eleven year old River is on a run with his pop to dump “stiffs” he discovers an unexpected place.  The place reminded him of a prison surrounds by the largest fence he had ever seen. A movement behind the fence pulled his attention toward the interior where he saw a small young girl about his own age. It was as if an invisible force was actively pulling them together and entwining their souls.
“Sitting back in a trance, her wolf eyes drew me in.  She looked like a ghost--no, a goddess--like the paintings on the wall at compound.  Like the goddess Persephone, wife of Hades, the underworld God the Hangmen wore on their patch."
Fifteen years later fate intervenes once more when Mae manages to escape from the commune.  She is severely injured but manages to find a hiding place where she immediately passes out from blood loss.  Styx finds a body covered in blood, mud and assumes its dead.  When she opens her eyes, he realizes it could be his girl with the wolf's eyes.
“F@!! me.  Those eyes.  Even through all the blood, mud, and shit on her face, those eyes f@ckin' shone--ice-blue, like a goddamn wolf's.  Only seen one pair of eyes like that before..."
After an arms deal goes bad, Styx realizes there is a rat in his club.  An unknown enemy is encroaching on their turf.  War is in the air, who can he trust?
Nothing a brother hates more than a rat..."any guess who?"
River, “Styx” is an alpha male that has lived his entire life as a part of the Hangman Motorcycle Club. Styx is known as the Hangman Mute.  He uses his fist, and fighting skills to talk.  He is the President of the MC and has never given a speech or said a word in front of the club.  He uses sign language to communicate with his people all except the 3...his pop, Ky, and wolf eyes.
“...someone g-g-good to take c-care of you.  I-it ain't me, babe."
Mae is not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside.  She is loyal, kind and sees goodness in others.  Mae is one of the four called the “Cursed” and they were kept from everyone in the commune least they tempt the males to sin.

"Mae was mine.  Fifteen long year of wanting her to be mine, and here she sat, curled up in my arms--a f@ckin' angel in hell."

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is not just a book about a motorcycle club! It is about real life, the good, the bad and the unbelievable! The author takes you into life in a cult using the life of a young girl to expose the horrors.  Her salvations through an unexpected source, the mute president of the Hades Hangman MC.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! This author writes such intensely moving stories that you want more from her and cannot wait for her next book.
