A Perfect Moment (Perfect, #1) by Becca Lee

“When life threatens perfect, it’s time to step up and kick life in the balls.”

Ella's perfect moment was taken from her is the worst possible way. Humiliated, heart broken and absolutely determined not to allow her heart be destroyed for a second time, she builds an ice wall around her heart.

Preston has known that he was in love his big sister's best friend since the age of fifteen. Over ten years on, and an opportunity to be her knight in shining armour is too good to miss. Putting his heart on the line, he's on a mission to show Ella that the perfect moment is possible.

Ella's instinct is to run when she realises her feelings for her bestie's little brother may just run a little bit deeper than just friends. But if she can't run, she'll try every trick in the book to shake off his affection and realign his feelings.

She already had her perfect moment, and there is no chance she'll let her heart thaw for Preston. No matter how good he looks in the firefighter's Christmas calendar.

*** Contains steamy-hot moments, romance, friendship and a bulk load of swearing - non explicit sex scenes. ***

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★

A Perfect Moment is Becca Lees debut novel, and she more than exceeded my expectations.  This book has humor, suspense, danger, love, lust, a really sexy firemen and a feisty-redhead, too!  This contemporary romance is a wonderfully written story of friends falling in love and the healing that occurs to a wounded heart that once was shattered by betrayal.

Ella and Preston, the main characters, are hilarious together.  I loved the way she refers to him as my bffs baby brother.  He has always carried a torch for Ella and she remains ignorant of his love and desire for her.  I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Ella and Preston.  They had been friends growing up so when he decides to up the ante and make Ella his; he doesnt hesitate to show his dominating alpha side.

Overall, this is an awesome novel that I highly recommend you read.  The author cultivates each charactersflaws, desires, hopes, and dreams; thus enabling you to feel a close connection to them.  Im looking forward to reading more books in this series.  I already cannot wait for Liam and Jo's story.  I know it will be just as entertaining, if the ending to this book was any indication.  Excellent work, Becca!  Thanks for creating these amazing characters and the complete escapism into my happily ever after fantasy.~Flo

Would I recommend this book:  Yes!  This book has an Aussie surfing fireman as the hero and a feisty opinionated teacher as the heroine that are explosive together!  What more could you want in a book!

Would I recommend this author:  Yes. I look forward to the next book in this series.
