Review: The Charlotte Chronicles (Jackson Boys #1) by Jen Frederick

Charlotte and Nathan were supposed to be forever. They grew up together. Their families were intertwined. Charlotte was Nathan's first love. Nathan was Charlotte's first everything.

Until they weren't.

How do you hold on to the person you know in your heart you are supposed to be with when everything and everyone in the universe is telling you it's over?

How many times does a heart break?
When is enough…..enough?
How long is forever?

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

The Charlotte Chronicles by Jan Frederick is the first book in her Jackson boys series.  A beautiful love story of childhood love and friendship that develops into grown up passion and romance.  This beautifully crafted adult romance novel will keep you wanting for more and keep your heart stuttering.

From the moment Nathan Jackson held Charlotte Randolph when she was born, in his tiny arms at two years old, he knew that she belonged to him.  With their families intertwined, they were destined to be together forever.

But at age 15, Charlotte gets sick and everything changes.  Through the years that first love between her and Nathan remains, but with so much heart ache that Charlotte has to finally move on after nine years.  She is devastated that the one man who holds her heart is somewhere else other than with her.  So with a heavy heart, she has to put the past in the past.  Little did she know that somehow the past has a way of finding its way back to the present.

Will Nathan finally stand up and be the man that Charlotte needs and desires?  Can Charlotte move from the past and accept whatever Nathan has to offer?  Read this book to find out.  You will not be disappointed!

I felt so much while reading this novel.  The pain and anguish that the families endure, the struggles that a teenager has to endure, will all make your heart ache and then at the same time fill you with such an overwhelming peace.  I was trapped from the beginning and pleasantly pleased all the way to the end.
