Laney is on the hunt for her wayward cousin and butting heads with her long time love, Gunner Wilson. Every twist and turn leads her back to a dead-end. She knows that Gunner knows more than he's letting on, but she loves her tight jean wearing cowboy, so she's biding her time and waiting patiently. However, with all the excitement, Laney brings her game no matter what is thrown her way.

This was yet again another striking, action packed situation of hot cowboys, sizzling romance, and mystery. Jodi has a beautiful strength that is shown in her books that involves immense woman power! I love the way that Laney Briggs takes the lemons that she's given so often and makes lemonade. However, in the end, I was shaken to the core with the cliffhanger ending! Deputy Laney Briggs ROCKS and I anxiously await the next installment. Way to saddle up, Jodi!
