Review of The Capo: Riccardo (Stud Mafia Series #2) by Aimie Jennison & Elle Raven

Warning: This book contains violence, excessive language, and strong sexual content. It's intended to be read by mature audiences

Temptation. Seduction. Forbidden pleasure.

As the right-hand man to The Don, Riccardo Rossi's role is all about duty, respect and honour. Being the crime boss's daughter, Lorena Morassi is forbidden. Although she is young and off limits, that doesn't stop Riccardo from wanting her. She is a pure temptation, and to have her would be a betrayal to his boss and his mafia family.

Lorena has wanted Riccardo for years and she knows he wants her, too. Being with him would only cause bad blood between her father and his right-hand man. She doesn't want their strong friendship to be ruined, but her feelings for him grow, and Lorena knows she can't stay away. But a night of seduction and forbidden pleasure changes everything.

Betrayal will not be tolerated and long-standing friendships will be broken.

Overall Rating:  4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★
Forbidden fruit and a longing to savor inflames our hero with desire in the Capo: Riccardo, Stud Mafia series book two by Elle Raven and Aimie Jennison.  Our story captures the gritty, raw dark romance between a Mafia Princess and her father’s second in command and pulls the reader into a mafia spun web created by the authors.

Riccardo continues to protect the familia and stands by his best friend and boss, The Don.  He is consumed by the traitorous feelings he has for Lorena, his boss’ daughter.  He wants to claim her as his own, but knows that would be considered a betrayal that would cause irreparable consequences. After all she is his godchild and he should not want her as his woman, but he does.

Lorena is suffering from Riccardo's continual denial of his feelings for her.  She needs him more now than ever before, due to the fact that she had committed such a brutal act when she killed her mother.  Even with therapy she leans towards him for understanding.  She wants her man and she is tired of being the mafia princess denied her happily ever after by her father!

As I began to read Lorena and Riccardo's story, my emotions were all over the place, because Riccardo isn't a good guy.  He is a killer...a hitman.  There was an allure to him though, that draws the reader and you don't want him to end up in the basement like many victims before.  Lorena was hard to relate to because she always lived up to her title.  Most of the time, I felt pulled back and forth on deciding whether it was worth the ultimate cost of losing one's life and finding their kind of happily ever after.  The authors created a fictional world that entertained and satisfied my Godfather side.
