In Yara Greathouse's novel, Dismantled you will find a story filled with passion, love, friendship and turmoil. I experienced deep feelings for the characters and connected with them as if I was part of their story. The author has a way of drawing you in and keeping you mesmerized until the very end!
Ciara Collins is a beautifully constructed character, whose heart is bigger than she is. She loves completely and holds her friends close to her, always being there when needed. Being ex-military she can take care of herself, but for once she wants to be taken care of...by Traxx Maxwell. Traxx has been part of their tight knit group for many years. Ciara has crushed on him, even though all of their friends didn't think it was a good idea because Traxx was a player in the worst way. Then after an incident, Traxx needs her and she does everything she can to help, as well as finally have him the way she has always wanted.
Traxx Maxwell is a man whore. He has been with so many women, but for one night stands only. He was bullied when he was young and from there decided he would be the one to use women the way he was used. But when he met Ciara years before, he knew she was different. His heart was telling him to grab her, but his head was conflicted and wouldn't let him take her. Even their friends were against him touching Ciara. But as fate would have it, after the incident that changes his life, Ciara is the only one who can bring him back and save him!
This storyline is tragic, yet endearing and heartfelt. The author touched me with her words and I was deeply moved by the relentless struggle that her characters were going through. Beautifully written, Yara...you dismantled me!!
