Review of Releasing Rage (Cyborg Sizzle #1) by Cynthia Sax

Half Man. Half Machine. All Hers.

Rage, the Humanoid Alliance's most primitive cyborg, has two goals--kill all of the humans on his battle station and escape to the Homeland. The warrior has seen the darkness in others and in himself. He believes that's all he's been programmed to experience.

Until he meets Joan.

Joan, the battle station's first female engineer, has one goal--survive long enough to help the big sexy cyborg plotting to kill her. Rage might not trust her but he wants her. She sees the passion in his eyes, the caring in his battle-worn hands, the gruff emotion in his voice.

When Joan survives the unthinkable, Rage's priorities are tested. Is there enough room in this cyborg's heart for both love and revenge?

Releasing Rage is Book 1 in the Cyborg Sizzle series and is a STANDALONE story.
It is also a dark BBW Cyborg SciFi Romance.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

In Releasing Rage by Cynthia Sax, the author creates a world where cyborgs are controlled by humans for the purpose of fighting battles they cannot win with their limited ability.  It is suspenseful, action-packed and full of sensual encounters.  The inhumane way the cyborgs are handled by their engineers is harsh and daunting.  While on a battleship in another galaxy a cyborg's hatred for humans is put to the ultimate test when he meets his new engineer, Joan.  Joan is the first and only female engineer and the men on the station won't accept her.  This is the story of Rage and Joan and how love can conquer all!

From the beginning I was captured by Joan's ability to calm and bring peace.  She was from an Agri, farming community, that was destroyed in the war.  Her family was killed and a cyborg saved her.  She swore she would pay it forward and dedicated her life to helping the cyborgs.  She studied hard and excelled at the academy and was placed on a battleship ready to service the cyborg she would be paired with.  The commander did not want a female aboard his ship and allowed cruel and mean attacks on Joan.  She lived daily in fear.  When she finally is given a cyborg to pair with she is taken aback when Rage is presented to her.  He has been sorely abused by his previous engineers and loathes humans.  He killed his last one!

This story is about trust and forgiveness and a sexy hot cyborg finding his heart.  I loved the buildup of trust the author developed between the couple and the yearning for acceptance of something neither understood but wanted.  The secondary characters were important in providing pivotal information about the story.  This is a must read for sci-fi romance followers and a welcome addition to anyone's eBook library.  I look forward to the next encounter from this fabulous author and her sexy world of cyborgs!
