Review of Pursued (Brides of the Kindred #6) by Evangeline Anderson

Elise is fractured inside, stained by a past she refuses to remember.

Merrick is scarred both inside and out, a half-breed with a brutal background, at home nowhere in the universe.

Now they are tied together by an unstable bond which could kill them both.

Their journey will take them to the lawless planet of Rageron—the wildest of all the Kindred worlds. There, in the deep blue jungles of an alien world, Elise must bare her soul and relive the horror that nearly killed her. Can she and Merrick make each other whole or will Elise run from her pain?

If she does, Merrick cannot help but chase her…Elise is being Pursued.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

In Pursued, the sixth book in Evangeline Anderson’s Bride of the Kindred series we are once again gifted with her intriguing scifi world filled with strong women and their hunkolicious Kindred men.  The story is everything that one expects from this amazingly talented author.  This is Elise and Merrick’s story.  A love story that will leave you breathless as well as yearning for more.  As with the rest of her stories, this one continues where the last one left off.

Elise Darden is a respected attorney on Earth.  Although there is a dark shadow that haunts her past, Elise dug deep and left the darkness behind her.  When she was captured by the AllFather, kidnaped and kept in stasis until Merrick found her she never thought she would  survive.  Then a miraculous thing happened.  Somehow she and Merrick created an artificial bond. Now Elise is turned upside down from all the emotions she carries and the attachment she has to the half-breed Kindred.

Merrick has always been an outcast with a nasty reputation.  He’s a Kindred Hybrid, half Beast Kindred and half Blood Kindred.  Merrick is dangerous, a killing machine hybrid, who can’t form a bond.  However, when he finds Elise drifting in the sea of blackness and forms an artificial bond with her, he can’t or won’t deny the longing for his mate.

Together the two must journey to Rageron in order to save their lives because of the unstable bond they now share.  Will Elise and Merrick find love after the bond is broken? Read this installment of the Brides of the Kindred to find out!  You won’t be disappointed.

As with everything that Ms. Anderson writes, I was captured by her words and couldn’t stop reading Pursued until the very last page was finished.  Then I wanted the next book.  Such is the way of things when you read her books.  This scifi novel and series, Brides of the Kindred is a must have addition to any library.
