What if you knew you were going to die?  What would you do? In Zoey’s family they have a “Club” for family members that are cursed! Her grandfather died at 27.  Her mother died at 27, her brother died at 27 and now she is 27. Will she be the next to die young and join the 27 Club? Is this Zoey's destiny, her legacy that cannot avoid it.

When Zoey goes to pack up her brothers’ home and go through his things, she is met with a big surprise.  Nate, her brother’s best friend is living in her brother’s house. Or is he? She only recognized him because of pictures Zack had sent her of the two of them together.  Had her brother lied to her and if so why?  The attraction between Zoey and Nate is explosive and confusing. She had accepted her fate, but Nate calls to a side of her that she had never explored.  He makes her want to fight destiny!  Can she cheat the “27 Club” or will she loose and become a member?  

This is a remarkable book that is like a fine wine, it needs to be savored.  Each page enthralls and entices the reader to continue, to find out more about Zoey and Nate's fate and if it will allow them to beat the “27 Club!

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book will make you laugh and cry at the same time!  It has steamy erotic sex and a love story that will touch your heart as you search for a  HEA rainbow with our main characters.

Would I recommend this author: Yes! Ms. Karr’s characters are well developed and her stories focus living life to the fullest.  Her books are filled with anguish, laughter, love, hot sex and the need for more.

Review: Reclaimed (Knights Rebels MC #2.5) by River Savage

This novella is a continuation of Kadence and Nix's love story from the highly acclaimed first book in the Knights Rebels MC series, Incandescent by River Savage.  Ms. Savage once again brings to life in this book the steadfast relationship between Kadence and Nix.  Nix demonstration of his love and loyalty is why he is my favorite character by far from this series.  His dirty mouth and strong alpha tendencies drive Kadence crazy but this interaction between the two main characters creates a repartee filled with sexual tension.  

The author delves into a serious issue for new mothers, postpartum depression.  I especially liked the way the author explored this issue and touched so many with this real and debilitating issue in her story.  Throughout the story, Nix strives to help Kadence overcome her "post-partum baby blues" and to pull her out of the depression she has fallen into.  He is determined to help her heal and not lose the woman he loves. Once again, we see how far Nix will go to not only help his woman but give her the support she needs.

A nice aside to this novella is that we get an update on the lives of characters from previous books.  There is also a small insight into where the series maybe headed.  You will need to read to find out!

So the question has been answered for me - did I get my #NixFix? Why yes I did.  Thank you, River Savage for bringing my favorite couple back!

When he finally broke through her spell, he threw on his shirt, put on his shoes, and helped her fold up the blanket.

Grabbing the bag with one hand and her wrist with the other, Ethan stalked off towards their parking spot. He eventually slid his hand down and entwined his fingers with hers. In response she gave his hand a sympathetic squeeze. She knew exactly how he felt. He could only hope it was because she felt the same, that she wanted him as much as he wanted her. They made it to the car. He unlocked it and threw the bag in the backseat when what he really wanted to do was to throw her back there and fuck the smile right off her face.

He needed to calm himself down or he’d take her with no finesse. “I want you, Mia. Here and now.”

“And this is a problem how?” she asked innocently.

Grrr …

“Get in the car,” he ordered.

“Seriously?” she asked, her eyes wide with excitement.

“No way, Mia,” he answered. God, her obvious want just increased the desire to throw her in the car and fuck her right there.

He eyed the front seat, a silent order for her to get in. Mia scrambled and got herself in the car. Closing her door, Ethan then hurriedly got in himself. When he finally pulled in the alley, Ethan let himself breathe. He opened the garage and pulled her car inside. Shifting the car to park, he turned off the engine.

“We’re here,” he announced.

“We are,” she said calmly as she undid her seatbelt. Then all hell broke loose.

Fuck finesse.

During the day, Ryleigh is an analyst, but even then, she’s writing, sneakily crafting scenes on post-it notes. She's been told she's a bit of a geek...some say nerd. She'll agree to it all. She loves music. It's been a force in her life for as long as she can remember. Her love of Star Wars and superheroes has probably been going on just as long...see, this is where the geek/nerd thing comes into play. But, most of all, Ryleigh loves the written word. Redemption Lane, Rachel Blaufeld's newest book in her new series, Crossroads, is a stark reminder that things always have a way of coming back full circle.  These characters are extraordinarily crafted in a way that will pull at your heart strings while making you feel so much love, passion and need.

Lane Wrigley is a self-made millionaire, playboy.  He wears his armor strong by never having relationships while working non-stop.  Dabbling in all different types of women, yet never having more.  Now living in Miami, he's running from a past that always seems to find a way of haunting him.  A chance meeting at one of his hotels back home in Pennsylvania brings Lane face to face with the woman that has been in his dreams since that fateful day at his brother's gym.  The woman who was screaming to be saved, but he refused to help.  So, hope takes bloom for Lane and he can't let her go again.

Bess Williams is a recovering addict.  She struggles every day to stay on the lamb.  Now working as a hotel waitress, Bess lives a simple life.  She has her dog, Brooks Bailey, her small cabin in the woods and a routine that helps keep her sane.  Since her comeback from the dark-side four years ago, Bess hasn't been with a man, didn't feel that she would ever be able to enjoy the company of a man because of her caustic past.  In walks Lane Wrigley and everything changes for Bess.

This was a phenomenal story filled with passion, love and redemption.  However, the bigger picture here is how the author brings to light a dreaded topic across the world, addiction.  Whether it's drugs, alcohol, sex, lies, etc. it all can torture a person the same way.  I was impressed by the author's carefully, elegant manner of hitting on this topic with a need and hope that will leave the reader feeling complete once again.  I can't express how much this book touched me to the core of my soul.  As with her other books, Rachel ensnares the reader and won't you let go! What a beautiful atonement, Rachel.

Would I recommend this book:  Yes! This book was everything I was hoping it would be.  From the beginning, I was captured by the underlying storyline and the beautiful characters that will hold your heart and never let go. 

Would I read other books by this author:  Yes! Absolutely!  I've been a hug fan of everything Rachel Blaufeld from the beginning with her Electric Tunnel series.  I am immensely excited by this new series, Crossroad's series.  As always, she writes in such an eloquent manner that always satisfies her readers!

Would I recommend this author: Yes! This was my first time reading a book by this author and I found her storyline unusual, her characters fascinating. I look forward to reading more for this gifted writer.
