~Review: Devil's Game (Reaper's MC #3) by Joanna Wylde~

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One. Or so she thinks.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Devil's Game is the third book in Joanna Wylde's Reapers MC series.  In the beginning of this story, a devastating event occurs that causes a domino effect for our hero.  He is thrust into the MC life and never looks back.  It is his salvation.  There is lust, territorial fighting, and even humor. This book has it all.

Liam "Hunter" is a patched member of the notorious Devil's Jack.  The moment he laid eyes on  Emmy Hayes he knew he had to have her.  Em is the Renegade princess.  She grew up with her father being the President of the Club.  Life was difficult for the teenager.  Her first day of high school she was escorted by her father and members to her locker.  Picnic (her father) made sure everyone knew she was not to be messed with.  Thus, after all these years Em is holding her "V" card.  No male wanting to incur the wrath of her dad.

Em had secretly carried a torch for Painter (a prospect for her dad's club) and when he finally became a patched member, she decided it was time to claim her man.  But, as normal things don't go her way; she finally realizes Painter is not the one for her!  She had been texting with a friend from Portland for several months and had formed a relationship with Liam.  They texted several times daily.  When she finally decides she can do better than Painter, Liam asks her to consider him.

When she meets him at a night club with friends, she is taken back at the beautiful man standing in front of her.  He is a predator on the prowl and she is his prey.  The chemistry is strong between them and instantly she is ready to take him back to her hotel room.  Once again fate intervenes and she is kept from giving up her "V" card.

Liam and Em's relationship begins on shaky ground, but as time passes the couple develops a strong connection.  Picnic isn't happy that his daughter is involved with a Devil Jack.  Will he intervene?  Does Liam and Em have a future together?

There were several "what just happened" moments and I kept reading wondering how in the world the author would turn the situation around.  Overall, this book was written well and flows nicely.  I'm a sucker for a good MC book and this book did not disappoint me at all.  I enjoyed reading the story and hope that Picnic will get a story soon!

Would I recommend this book:  Yes!  Liam and Em's story has the Romeo & Juliet complex that  complicates their relationship, but in the end true love conquers all!
