~Review: Hot Rebel (Hostile Operations Team #6) by Lynn Raye Harris~

A rebel on the run…

Victoria Royal is a traitor. Or so the U.S. government believes. Victoria was once a promising sniper in the Army, but now she’s gone rogue—worse, she’s just landed in the middle of a Hostile Operations Team mission in the desert and blasted it all to hell.

Nick “Brandy” Brandon doesn’t expect to run into Victoria when he’s bugging out from a mission gone wrong. It’s been more than three years since she disappeared from the sniper course they were in together, and he’s finally stopped thinking about her killer curves and smart mouth.

But now she’s back—and she’s far more dangerous than Nick ever believed possible… Is she really a traitor? Or is there something more at stake? He has to decide fast—because time’s running out and too many lives hang in the balance…

Overall Rating:  4 Rockin’ ★★★★

At the beginning of this book you find yourself deep in the desert on a mission to eliminate a major player in the war against terrorist.  A special military unit known as HOT has been sent in to assassinate this target. They are a secret team of highly skilled soldiers that are so secret that many consider them a myth.

Victoria is a highly Army trained sniper that because of her sister's affiliation with a known terrorist is kicked out of the service. She is branded a traitor and has no option but to go out and find a way to save her sister.  She is pulled into the mercenary world in order to rescue her sister from this man. The man that hires her to work for him promises to help her find and rescue her sister if she agrees to work for him.  After two years she has saved enough money to take care of her sister when she finds her but she has no idea where she is being held.

Nick Brandon is a member of HOT and is a highly trained sniper.  He is on a mission when it is broken up by another sniper taking out the wrong target.  The shot the sniper made was almost an impossible kill.  When he finds out the sniper in none other that Victoria Royal he cannot believe she is there in the middle of his op.  His emotions are all over the place as he sees the woman that had never left his thoughts.

Sparks fly between the two and an attraction that started in sniper school still burns strong and hot. When it appears that Victoria has been set up by her boss Nick's commander offers her a way to clear her name and save her sister.  Will they be able to find her sister?  Can Nick and Victoria survive the mission together?  Is there a future for them?
