Review of Fight For Me by Bethany Bazil

I just needed someone to show me how to fight for me…

When tragedy hits Alexis Cole is shattered. She carries the blame on her shoulders after losing a big piece of herself. When Ryder Hayes sweeps back into her life, she has something to hold on to, but just as quickly as he appeared he was gone. When fate-or meddling parents-throw them back together they can no longer deny the heat that’s burned between them for years.

Ryder has always wanted Lexi, but he’s never fought so hard against something in his life. Saving Lexi from her past was never on his agenda, but he could never bear letting her drown in it. With his UFC championship title on the line, the last thing he needs is to be distracted by Lexi. When she’s thrown back into his life he can no longer fight their attraction.

But once he claims her he knows he’ll never let go.

Overall Rating: 4.5  Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Bethany Bazile's book, Fight For Me is a masterful piece of fiction that delves into the domain of the UFC. It also includes a tumultuous love story that will rock your world from beginning to end.  Bethany is a brilliant writer that definitely ranks among the greats and it shows in her latest book.  Laughter, love, passion and belonging are intertwined throughout this story, taking you on an unforgettable journey.

Ryder Hayes is a UFC fighter.  His past family experiences has made him hard, and has driven him to become a champion in the cage.  Although when push comes to shove...his weakness is his family and always will be.  Related by marriage, Ryder has always had a thing for Alexis his stepsister.  When she attempts to take her own life, Ryder knows he needs to step forward and help her. He realizes he wants to fight for her and that he would always need to protect her.

Alexis Cole has lost so much.  First her dad died, and then her brother.  It was just too much for her to handle.  So one emotion filled night she decides she wants to die and attempts to take her own life.  However, when she is saved, it makes her realized that life goes on and she must too.  With the help of her family, and her undeniable desire for Ryder Hayes, Alexis takes one step forward at a time.  Will she be able to move on and let herself and Ryder give into their desire for each other?

I was enthralled by this beautiful story from the first page.  Each revelation tugged at my heart as well as filled me with a desire to learn more about the characters.  I am thoroughly awestruck by this author and the way her exquisite words are fromed on paper to create a picture of love, passion and family.  I look forward to reading the next installment from Bethany Bazile.
