Review of Reaper's Fall (Reapers MC #5) by Joanna Wylde

He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

If you are looking for an unforgettable story with a hero and heroine that epitomize all things that are both good yet bad at the same time, look no more.  Reaper's Fall is the next book in author Joanna Wylde's Reapers MC series.   Ms. Wylde has created an exquisitely moving story of fated love that struggles through adversity and at times horrific situations to claim forever love. The path to happily ever after for some couples is not always an easy journey.  It is especially difficult when the bad guy is really a good guy and a knight in shining armor that rides a Harley and wants to protect his lady (Old Lady to be).

Painter is a bad boy biker that is really more than what he seems to be. Yes he has spent time in prison.  He has done things that most people would never understand after all he is a member of a 1% club.  But he is a man that cares enough about Melanie Tucker to let her go to find someone else, someone that is better than he is! Everything changes when he hooks up again with Melanie and discovers that maybe he is not strong enough to let her walk out of his life.

Life has not been a bed of roses for Melanie.  Her mother left and her father is an abusive drunk.  So Melanie spends the majority of her time with her best friend and her aunt, London.  They become her family and through them, she meets Levi ‘Painter’ Brooks.  Painter is a member of the Reapers MC and even though he seems rough around the edges he touches something deep inside Melanie.  He has been released and is home on parole.  Can she give him a chance?  Or is he just playing with her, after all he does have a Madonna Whore complex!

This is a unique tale of two special characters that have suffered, overcame and found their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Melanie and Painter's story has finally arrived and it is not one that will be easily forgotten! This is an excellent addition to anyone’s library.  I know it is to mine!  I cannot wait to see where this talented author will take me next!
