Misbehaving (Sea Breeze #6) by Abbi Glines

An unexpected affair leads to mind-blowing harmony in this Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Jason is sick of living in his rock star brother’s shadow. So when he ships off to Sea Breeze, Alabama, he’s looking for a much deserved escape and a chance to blow off some envious steam. Falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. But as the new duo enjoys some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that even though Jax is the musician in the family, he’s not the only brother who can rock someone’s world.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ Stars

Abbi Glines is a phenomenal author.  She can write a story that brings me to my knees, and this book did not disappoint!  It was a wonderful addition to her Sea Breeze series.  I fell in love with the characters.  Jason and Jess came from different worlds and somehow they were able to overcome the social barrier and find true love.

Jess is wild and untamed, and underneath her rough exterior she is soft, loyal and hoping to find a way out.  She has lived in Sea Breeze, Alabama her entire life and is the daughter of a stripper.  Jason Stone came to Sea Breeze to figure out what he wants to do with his life.  He is attending Harvard and his mother has plans for him to be a politician and he’s not really sure that’s what he wants.  Until he meets Jess,

"She was so unbelievably beautiful, and once you got to know the real Jess, you realized she was fucking sweet. The badass smart mouth who thumbed her nose at rules and skirted the law whenever she could had a kind heart."

One of my favorite parts of the book was Jess’ momma explanation on relationships by using Gilmore Girls television show,

“If you had bothered to watch it with me like I asked you several times, you would know what I mean.  Hank is you Dean.  He wasn’t meant for you either.  He was just the first heartbreak you keep going back to.  Now you’ve met your Logan.  It’s a shame, though.  I wish you’d meet you Jess next.”

There is quite a bit of angst and drama before the couple realizes they are meant to be.

“I love you more…I won’t argue with you about it.  That’s how it’s going to be.  I’m taking care of you because you’re the reason I wake up in the morning, and when you took that reason away from me I was miserable.  I never want to feel like that again.”

This book has a happily ever after ending and does not end with a cliffhanger.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series.  Highly recommend this book and the series.
