Review: I Belong to You (Inside Out #5) by Lisa Renee Jones

Being that person, that man is how I define myself, how I allow the rest of the world to define me as well. And now, with a terrible loss shredding me inside out and someone trying to destroy my family to punish me, control is more important than ever. It is everything. It is what I need. It is all I need. Or maybe I just need…her.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
How many strikes can you get before you're out? As any former pitcher knows it only takes three and you’re out! Strike one is the death of Rebecca his submissive and possible love that the police are accusing and trying to pin on him.  Strike two is his mother’s battle with cancer and the fight to keep his family’s business going.  The final strike is at his very soul, Crystal, the woman that he cannot seem to live without and the one that takes his control!  This is Mark and Crystal’s story about their journey together.

Mark Compton is in trouble! Someone is trying to destroy him, his family and his businesses.  He needs to be with his mother as she goes through her chemo treatments but he also needs to help run the family’s auction house.  Crystal is his mother’s assistant and she has done a remarkable job keeping things up and running during his mother’s illness and his battle to clear himself.  She is the one woman that he is finding he cannot stay away from and needs at his side.  Mark is a DOM, he needs the control and release that gives him.  Crystal is a woman that does not give up control and is just as strong as he is.  Will they find a solution that will allow them to survive the upheaval surrounding their lives? Can Crystal give him the submission he needs and can he give her the control she needs? Or will the horrors from their past keep them a part?

Crystal knows that she should stay as far away as possible from Mark Compton but she also craves him.  Her mind denies what her body cannot deny, she wants Mark.  She loves his family and the job she does at the auction house.  The glimpses of the man she sees below the surface as he takes care of his mother and father only pulls her to him more.  She wants to give in to the needs that Mark brings to life but knows that he must first heal and face his past.  The more time they spend together working to save the auction house, his mother and prove his innocence, the more tied they become to each other.  Can they prove his innocence?  Will Mark share his past and the nightmares that haunt him?  Read this remarkable book and you will be amazed by the answers!
