~Review: Under His Protection (Red Stone Security #9) by Katie Reus~

Julieta’s stalker doesn’t play by the rules

Lingerie shop owner Julieta Mederos has worked hard to get her business off the ground. Now she’s looking forward to some quality time with her friends and her big, boisterous family. But explicit texts from random phone numbers and vandalism at her shop makes it clear someone dangerous has fixated on her. Without any solid leads, the police can’t help her and she’s forced to turn to the last man she wants to depend on.

…but neither does Ivan.

Former Army Ranger and newest Red Stone Security employee Ivan Mitchell has gotten used to being alone in the world. He never even thinks about it anymore—until he meets sexy, independent Julieta. She’s everything he could ever want…but she seems determined to keep him at arm’s length. Until now. Maybe the cops can’t do anything to protect her, but he can. When things escalate faster than even he expected, he finds himself pulling out his most extreme combat skills to protect her. He’ll do what it takes to save her life—and prove to her she belongs in his.

Author Note: Under His Protection is the ninth book in the Red Stone Security series but can be read completely as a stand-alone.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Katie Reus' newest Red Stone Security novel, Under His Protection is yet again undeniably an amazing experience and a must read book.  Her spin on adventure is unparalleled and the characters are well created and in-depth.  I couldn't put the book down once I started reading.  A story filled with need, adventure, love and lust creates a world that I yearned to be a part of.

Ivan Mitchell, ex Army Ranger, turned professional security has had his pick of women all his life.  Never wanting to settle down, always the player, his reputation was just that, no strings attached.  Until the day he laid eyes upon a woman that he can't stop thinking about, a woman that stole his heart by just a look.  If anything Ivan is a patient man, a take charge kind of man. And when things get complicated for the woman he is captured by, he finally gets his chance to make his move.

Julieta Mederos is a successful lingerie small business owner.  Her independence has always been an issue for her with her huge smothering family.  Instead of going into the "family" restaurant business, Julieta wanted to break out of the mold and have something of her own.  Having been on the receiving end of a broken heart, Julieta never wants to hurt like that again.  However, on a chance meeting her new found friend's body guard, Ivan has captured her in a way that no other ever has.  When a stalker moves in on her, she must trust in the her friends and family to help.  Unsure of his intentions, but longing to have him, Julieta trusts her instincts and becomes ensnared by the tempting man that is Ivan.

Can Ivan protect Julieta and stop the stalker before he strikes?  Will Julieta believe that Ivan has her best interests at heart? Can the two come together in a windstorm of craziness and have the love they both crave for desperately?  Read this book to find out!  You will not be disappointed!

I am a big fan of mystery, adventure and romance.  This combination is something that I have come to love about Katie's books.  Never to be dissatisfied, this author will make you feel as if you are part of the story in a way that you will long to have more.  Thank you Katie for another suspense filled story! ~TSRBR
