Best Kind of Broken (Finding Fate #1) by Chelsea Fine

New Adult Romance

Pixie and Levi haven't spoken in nearly a year when they find themselves working―and living―at the same inn in the middle of nowhere. Once upon a time, they were childhood friends. But that was before everything went to hell. And now things are... awkward.

All they want to do is avoid each other, and their past, for as long as possible. But now that they're forced to share a bathroom, and therefore a shower, keeping their distance from one another becomes less difficult than keeping their hands off each other. Welcome to the hallway of awkward tension and sexual frustration, folks. Get comfy. It’s going to be a long summer.

Overall Rating:  4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

In the beginning I really thought I was looking forward to a funny romantic type story.  Although, as I began to delve into the book, it took me to so many different emotional places that I was laughing and crying all at the same time.  There was so much passionate turmoil between the characters that I hurt and loved right along with them.

Levi "Leaves" Andrews, all american college athlete, is a beautiful character inside and out.  I could feel the love, pain and conviction that he has in everything he does and everyone he loves.  Because of a fatal accident his life changes and he finds himself working as a maintenance man for a family owned inn.  The same family of one Pixie Marshall.  Sarah "Pixie" Marshall has been hurt by her mother all her life, but has always had her "other" family to make up for the pain.  That same fatal accident leaves Pixie alone and totally miserable.  But fate steps in a year after the accident and her path is thrown into line with the one man she has loved all her life, Leaves.

I could literally not stop reading this book until I was finished.  I was so entranced and had to know how it was going to end.  After finishing it, I was left feeling so many things; sadness, happiness, but most of all complete love.  I thoroughly cherish the characters and the story.  Well played Chelsea Fine!  I can't wait to read more from you...Grēta
