Sex, Lies, and Beauty Aides (Twisted Sisters Club #1) by Deb Julienne

Sex, lies, and beauty aids finally earn the girl next door a little respect.

Sabrina Thompson, editor of Skin Deep Magazine’s successful Natural Beauty Secrets column, is handed the challenge of her life. Take over the Love and Sex column or lose her job. What does a twenty-four year old virgin know about love or sex when she's never been on a third date? To complicate matters, there’s a new guy at the helm. Her only crush’s clone is issuing orders. While his pompous and ambitious twin dries out, playboy and ne’er-do-well Trent Wellington must assume his identity and save his family’s flailing magazine. The bright spot amid staff cuts and content restructuring is the plucky editor he once made a
fool of himself in front of at a family gathering. Fooling everyone isn’t easy, especially when Sabrina inspires his true self to be more than he ever has.

Years of hearing she’s too nice to date have left Sabrina’s frustration simmering. It boils over when she discovers Trent’s deceit and she vows to make him pay. Getting even has never been so much fun.

Favorite Lines:

"She'd changed a bit over the years.  Still a classic beauty, with a great smile, cute upturned nose, and kissable lips."

"The online Urban Dictionary made more sense.  Wanting to be together and when you're not, that person is all you can think about.  Trusting someone with your life, your secrets, your every breath.  To have someone accept you, as you are.  To place the other person's needs before your own.  To feel the inexplicable need to show affection and devotion to each other.  The description was lovely."

"She was innocent of guile.  Some guys might cringe at the thought.  To his way of thinking, each new experience with him was guaranteed to be a shared first.  No one to compare him to.  And she'd definitely be fun to teach so many things."

"She became Cinderella on her way to the ball.  Only better.  This was real not some fairytale."

"Life was finally smiling down on her."

"I don't know where we'll go from here.  All I know is I plan to enjoy the ride."

What a great story.  I laughed practically throughout the whole book.  I can honestly say that this was a first for me.  The characters were very well developed.  Sabrina Thompson is an editor of the beauty aids column of the magazine Skin Deep.  She is a vivacious, yet very naive young woman.  Her witty sense of humor and beautiful soul is captivating from the beginning.  She has never had a steady boyfriend and longs to be loved.  Sabrina's secret fantasies all include one man.  Trent Wellington, insanely rich playboy, is a twin who is pretending to be that said brother twin as the new editor and chief of Skin Deep magazine.  Trent has realized from a previous meet that he is captivated with a Miss Sabrina Thompson.  Posing as his twin brother, Trent finds himself in a very precarious position, falling in love.  From the facial masks that won't come off, to the many restaurants, XXX novelty shops, florists and candy boutiques, the couple dive into their research to create a spectacular column to help save the magazine.

I could totally relate with Sabrina and all of her niceties.  She is an extraordinary individual, who I just absolutely loved!  My heart was also captured by the wayward ways of Trent, through his relentless pursuits and over the top loyalty.  This couple showed me again how much fun love is and can be when you find the right person!  Way to go, Deb.  You hit a home run...Grēta
