~Review: Krinos T.L. Smith~

My life was simple. Follow instructions, learn the family business and be prepared to take over when the time has come. My name is Eliza, although people in the business know me as Krinos. One thing you should know about me is that my father is a drug lord, the boss in these parts.

I am prepared to do whatever it takes to step up to the challenge and run the family business, to make my father proud, a business filled with drugs, sex and death. What I’m not prepared for though is him, the Greek god who walks into my life and threatens to rock my world.

Now, my life has just got complicated. But don’t misunderstand, complicated is not a weakness. My father was not a man to cross, so expect nothing less from me. I am my father’s daughter, and I will be the boss.

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

I am the second in command of my father’s drug organization and you do not want to cross me.  My mother had raised me away from my father and his organization in the town of Blacktown a city in Australia.  I have always idolized my father and so when he finally told me what he did I stepped up for him to train me in the family business.  You may think that this is not a business for a woman but then you would not know the real me, I am like my father, made for this life.

My name is Eliza, although people in the business know me as Krinos.  One thing you should know about me is that my father is a drug lord, the boss in these parts…I am my father’s daughter, and I will be the boss.

My father has another second, a man that runs his East Coast operations.  I will be meeting with him, Stefanos, today for the first time even though my father has been training me for over two years to assume his position.  But nothing has prepared me for the “Greek God” that walks out of his office towards me. Stefanos and I will be working on a problem that my father wants solved.  I can’t believe it when he tells me that he doesn’t think a little girl like me will be much help and he can handle it alone.

“You heard me, Princess.  I don’t see what help a little girl like you could offer.”  He starts laughing at me, and my anger is to a boiling point now.  I turn half my body away from him, swing around and clobber him straight in the jaw; he falls straight on his ass.

Needless to say I am not what he is expecting.  On our way to the meeting with the problem my father wants us to sort out, we are made into a car sandwich and guns are blazing.  Stefanos takes care of the occupants of the two vehicles, a clean shot between the eyes.  He really impresses me with the way he handles things.  When we arrive at the meeting, he introduces me to the problem as Eliza and not by Krinos.  When we start discussing business, Alex the idiot thinks to intimidate me and that’s when I let him know why he needs to cooperate.

“Move and you will drop,” Stefanos tells him firmly.  I see Alex reach for something under the table, and I pull my knife out, standing behind him with it to his neck.  “Talk business, now!” I growl in his ear.

I get what my father wants and when I speak with my father he is happy with the job I’ve done. The idiot, Alex has let my father know that he is impressed with me and happy to work with me.  Before I can get off the phone with my father I hear someone banging on my door, it is Stefanos.   He has decided that he wants more from me than I am willing to give at this time but he tells me that I will give him everything.

“I will claim you, Princess, and there is nothing you can do about it.  I will own your soul,” he tells me, removing his jacket.

I leave after the most amazing night of sex and head home without saying goodbye to Stefanos.  I ignore all of his calls and text, but know that I will have to face him again and soon.  Will I be strong enough to step into my father’s place?  What will happen between me and Stefanos?

Hero –Stefanos: 4.5 stars
Heroine –Eliza “Krinos”: 4.5 stars
Steam: 5 stars
Plot: 4.5 stars
Cliffhanger: Yes

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is a look at what a Mafia Princess life is like.  The author tells the story of a woman that not only assumes a man’s role in a drug organization but is tough enough to conquer it. Throw in lots of fantastic, hot sex and you have an interesting read.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I can’t wait to read how the ‘Princess’ handles all the men in her life especially Stefanos.
