Twenty-one-year-old Kayla Turner has lost everything. After spending most of her life taking care of her ailing mother, she just wants to spot a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. So when her late father-a man she barely knew-leaves her an inheritance, she finally breathes a sigh of relief . . . until she learns the inheritance comes with strings. Strings in the form of handsome playboy Daren Ackwood, her father's protégé. To see any of her inheritance, she's forced to team up with him. From his expensive car to those sexy dimples, Kayla's seen his type before. But Daren isn't who he seems to be . . .
Struggling to make amends for his family's mistakes, Daren has a life more Oliver Twist than Richie Rich these days. He's beyond grateful that James Turner included him in his will, but working with Turner's princess of a daughter to fulfill his cryptic last wish is making Daren wonder if being broke is really so bad. Still, she's just as beautiful as she is stubborn, and the more time he spends with Kayla, the less it feels right being without her. Soon Daren and Kayla begin to wonder if maybe the best gift Kayla's dad could have left them . . . was each other.

“Every other guy on the planet is just that: a guy. But Darren is a force. And I am a feather.”
“From way up here, you can see the whole world, he said. And when you can see the whole world, your troubles don’t look so big.”
“This is why we give into the storm of love. This something that is neither word nor feeling, found in quiet gazes and cookies in the dark. Hidden in cotton candy secrets and gentle shower soapsuds. It creeps up on you and slips inside, and before you know it, love owns you completely.”
Perfect Kind of Trouble is the second book in Chelsea Fine’s new Finding Fate series. I was instantly drawn into the romantic possibilities, antagonizing history, and a forever kind of love that the author creates between the two main characters. I was also utterly thrilled that Chelsea reintroduces a few of the characters from one of my favorite books of all time, the first in this series ~ Best Kind of Broken.
Daren Ackwood is a ladies’ man, with a heart of gold. Not many people really know the real Daren, they only see what he lets them see. However, his dad is in jail, he lost his home and his car, has only a few dollars to his name, and has no plan for the future. He doesn’t think he would ever deserve anything better than what he has in this moment. But when the one man who really knew him dies, he is thrust into a tailspin of a scavenger hunt with a woman who might just end him completely. It’s a woman that he can’t say no to, a woman that he can’t get enough of and yet who may not even want him as a friend.
Kayla Turner is the heiress to an old money inheritance, but doesn’t even know it. She has been living with her mother eighteen hundred miles away from her original home town of Copper Springs. Struggling to make ends meet and thinking that her dad abandoned her; Kayla’s heart is heavy with grief and rage from what she thought was her father’s desertion. With a heavy heart and even lighter pocket, Kayla begins a journey with an unforeseen foe…Daren Ackwood.
This story took me for a ride in so many directions. There were many well played innuendos, with twists and turns that left me in a happy state of euphoria for quite some time. The feelings that the characters experienced gathered me in their hold and wouldn’t let go until the very end. I positively cherished reading every moment that brought the characters to the beautiful place that only Chelsea Fine can invent. I will forever be a fan of the captivating stories that this author represents. Perfect Kind of Trouble was such a great read on so many levels. Exquisite writing Chelsea!!! Grēta
