Review: Affliction (Knights Rebels MC #2) by River Savage

Three little words are all it takes to rip his world apart. Lost in his own affliction, Sy has been living in a darkness that he doesn't ever want to let go of.

Until she arrives and shines her light so bright that nothing else mattered.

She was only in it for the chase, for the thrill of capturing the unattainable.
But what happens when her world shatters around her, spiraling her into the darkness beside him?

Can his affliction be her resurrection?
Or will two lost souls living in the depths of deception let it destroy them?

Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
What makes a good story great?  What makes an author’s story linger with you even after you have long finished the book? Look no further for your answers.  River Savage has done it again!  Her first book Incandescent was amazing and I couldn’t get enough of my #NixFix and the sassy mouthed Kadence.  So when I opened my Kindle to read Affliction my expectations were at an all-time high! Could she continue to amaze me and hold my attention? The answer was yes!  I'm in love with this book. From the beginning, you are held captive as the story unfolds.

Affliction is the second book in River Savage’s Knights Rebels MC series.  This book has everything you want in a great read:  action, drama, love, romance and a plot they will keep you hanging on the edge of your seat.  This story is Holly and Sy’s journey to finding each other and starting the life they both don't realize they want and desperately need.  Their tale is magically woven.

Sylas “Sy” Dean has endured loss and suffering.  He is the badass biker with an attitude and nobody wants to mess with him.  He doesn’t believe he deserves happiness.  He is broken and cannot be fixed or so he believes until he meets the beautiful Holly.  She gets under his skin and enjoys baiting him every chance she gets.  Holly is Kadence’s best friend and when Kadence begins dating Nix she is thrust into the mix too.  Her eyes are set on the tall brooding Sy and what she wants---she normally always gets.  She isn’t use to rejection or being turned down, but Sy is different.  He doesn’t allow others into his life.

This story takes place simultaneously with Incandescent (Nix and Kadence’s book) and I highly recommend you read it first.  There are overlapping scenes told from a different perspective.  Both the hero and heroine bring conflict, loss and yearning to the story causing you to wonder how the author will conclude their ending.  There are scenes from this book that brought an avalanche of tears flowing from my eyes, laughter bubbling from my mouth and finally a sense of peace and happiness to my soul for these characters.

Hero: 4.5
Heroine: 4.5
Plot: 4.5
Steam Level: 4.5
Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book:  Yes.  Sy and Holly’s story is beautiful! There are so many feelings the author invokes that you remain awe struck from the beginning to the end, contemplating if they will be given their happily ever after.  You will yearn for the couple to find that happiness and peace.

Would I recommend this author: Yes.  River Savage is one of my favorite authors! Her style of writing ensnares the reader with her imagination and masterful creativity.  She is a must read author.
