Review of Bear the Burn (Fire Bears #2) by T.S. Joyce

Quinn Copeland is starting fresh in a new town where nobody knows about her past. Chronically shy, she is determined to find her courage at her new job at the town veterinary clinic. But when a stoic stranger catches her in a moment of emotional turmoil, she learns that even the toughest looking men can have warm hearts. Unfortunately for her, Dade Keller keeps his secrets close to the vest, and what she doesn’t know about him could kill her.

Dade doesn’t feel anything. Not until he finds a mousy vet technician huddled in a corner crying. Human, submissive, and shy, Quinn couldn’t be further from what he would need in a mate. The Breck Crew is in the middle of a crisis that will alter their fate forever and throw their loved ones in the crosshairs of the human public. The last thing a woman like Quinn needs is to be weighed down by what he is, but his reluctant attention to her doesn’t go unnoticed, and keeping her out of harm’s way isn’t possible anymore.

With their deepest secrets exposed, Quinn will have to find her bravery and decide if Dade’s fight is now her fight, too.

*Content Warning: explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of sexy shifter secrets.
Adult only bear shifter romance.*

Overall Rating:  4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

The Keller brothers are back for another nail biting, spine tingling episode and this is one read you do not want to miss!  Bear the Burn, by T.S. Joyce is book two in the Fire Bear series.  Dade and Quinn's story is filled with so many unexpected surprises that you will not know what hit you.  I truly enjoyed learning more about what made the youngest brother tick and how once he met his match he was defiantly a goner! This book also delves into how difficult it is for some to accept the unique differences in others. Prejudice is not an easy issue to address, but Ms. Joyce is without a doubt up to it!

As the youngest Dade Leland Keller is the brother that doesn't feel.  He locked his emotions up a long time ago and opening that can of worms would cause way too many complications in his life.  When he meets the shy, sensitive Quinn, all bets are off.   He fights his bear, warring with his animal because of the instability of their future.  It is not one he wants anyone to endure. But, when evil returns to Breckenridge a horrific event occurs leaving permanent scars and the Keller family scrambling.

This is a spoiler free review, and with that said, Dade and Quinn made my heart hurt, leap with joy, and hope that all the shifters preserve and the bad people would get what they so rightly deserve.  A fantastic ending is waiting for you - read this book and enjoy an adventure created by T.S. Joyce that will pull you into the world of bear shifters!
