Midnight Play is the second book in The Blue Dynasty series by Lisa Marie Perry. I love sports romance especially football and this story lived up to my expectations over and over again! The two main characters Danica Blue and Dex Harper are very different. He lives to play and she lives to promote the team. As general manager of the Las Vegas Slayers, Danica fires Dex as the quarterback for his wayward ways. He wants his job back. This is where their journey of friendship and eventually love begins.
This author delivers a well written story and I truly enjoyed every bit of it. The two characters are well developed and their sexual chemistry is off the charts! I enjoyed reading Danica's battle with herself and her overbearing parents while her purpose and direction might have shifted; she remained focused on her ultimate goals. Dex is the partying playboy that you watch as she reforms his public persona. I highly recommend this book and the author.
