Review of Wolf Fur Hire (Bears Fur Hire #4) by T.S. Joyce

Like every other McCall werewolf in history, Link is headed down a short road to insanity, but he’s determined to go out on his own terms. Those terms? Repay the people the broken McCall pack has hurt before Ian Silver has to put him down. Hope is a dangerous thing for a doomed man like him, but when he meets Nicole, an instant and undeniable connection sparks between them. She might not be a typical beauty, but she’s stunning to him and stirring his inner monster up in ways that make him think that maybe, just maybe, she can save him from the McCall madness.

Nicole Brand is in Alaska to discover a part of her life she didn’t know existed. The father she never knew was killed by a wolf, and in an effort to understand who he was, she throws herself into wilderness living. But a chance meeting with a tall, dark, and growly stranger has her thinking that maybe it is fate that has brought her to Galena, Alaska. The more she gets to know the man she is falling desperately hard for, the more of Link’s dark secrets surface—and some of those revolve around her father. She should’ve listened when Link warned her about how dangerous he is, but now it’s too late. She’ll have to decide whether to return to her safe life in the lower forty-eight, or to stay and fight for the man who seems to think she can save him.

Content Warning: Explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

Overall Rating:  5 Rockin’ ★★★★
If you are born a McCall, you have one future…insanity and death at the hands of an enforcer.  T. S. Joyce introduced, Link McCall in her first book in the Bears fur Hire series. She continues his story in the fourth book, Wolf fur Hire.  Link’s character is so charismatic, loyal and don’t forget deliciously sexy that the reader will find themselves in love with this beautiful wolf shifter and pulling for him to be saved.  This is his book as he battles for salvation from his family’s curse and finds that the love of a good woman can make miracles happen.

Nicole never knew about her birth father, and her mother never told her about him and now it is to late.  She will never have the chance to meet her dad.  Nicole makes the decision to go to Alaska and find out everything she can about the man that helped give her life. She is a green horn and not ready for the Alaskan wild.  On a trip into town she meets an incredibly beautiful man that takes her breath away, Link McCall. Could this be what has always been missing in her life?

Link McCall has fought against his family's curse all his life.  He does not want to be a thief, a killer and a man eater.  All Link wants is to be a good wolf!  He fought against his family when they tried to kill a bear enforcer and his wife, he has proven to be a loyal and trusted friend to the Silver family.  But Link can feel the onset of the curse and to top it off he just ran into his mate, something as a McCall he can never claim.

Although it is not necessary, I highly recommend that you read the first three books before reading Links story.  Ms. Joyce’s development of his character and the building of Nicole's Alaskan self is riveting and will have you wanting to know more about these amazing characters.  A great addition to anyone's library.  I know it is to mine.
