Listening to music, traveling the world, and jumping off cliffs is fun. Falling in love is even better. But to stay with Jeremy after the stage lights dim, Reg will need to help him realize there’s nothing pretend about their relationship.
Overall
Rating: 3.5 Rockin’ ★★★☆
Perfect Imperfections by Cardeno C is a male/male romance about a rock star searching for a companion and finding him in the most unlikely place. This contemporary romance novel begins the main characters’ relationship as a friendship. Jeremy meets Reg Moore accidently when he stops in bar out in the middle of nowhere. Reg is the bartender and he strikes up a conversation with Jeremy and they quickly find out that they have a lot of similar interest. Jeremy has lived a sheltered life and has always followed the straight life but after meeting Reg things start to change.
After spending the evening getting to know each other, Jeremy Jameson asks Reg to go on his international tour with him as his "boyfriend' to keep away unwanted pursuers. In the beginning this was a rouse but as the story continues the relationship blossoms into love. Reg is certain that Jeremy is his and waits patiently for Jeremy to reciprocate his feelings. The romance was sweet as candy and the plot was well developed.
Overall, this is a great book and I really enjoyed the development of the characters. The author's over emphasis of the political correctness distracted from the story at times, and it could potentially discourage future readers. Even with that said, it was a wonderful love story that I found interesting and entertaining. ~TSRBR
